I absolutely love this story! Once I started reading, I just couldn't stop. I feel like you nailed the personalities of all the turtles, and I really enjoyed the characterization of Charlie. Please write more TMNT fanfic! :)

This story is only the third Ninja Turtle fic I've read, and I think by far it will be the best as well. This is amazing, and I enjoyed indulging in my Ninja Turtle fetish with it. ;)
I haven't checked to see if you've written any more of this yet or continued the story at all, but you definitely should if you haven't. There aren't enough good turtle fics as it is. You're awesome.

First of all, I’m sorry for taking so long to review; my internet time was kind of limited the last few days :( Now, about the story… I wasn’t expecting the end to come so soon, but those were 70 chapters of pure bliss.
I’ll be honest, I cried when I was reading the scene where Raph says good-bye to his father. “Don’t leave me, Dad” – that just did it for me, I was a mess, and I had to stop reading and calm down before going on :( You have a wonderful way with words; your writing style doesn’t cease to amaze me with its simplicity and depth, I often reread passages to savor the images they are creating. And I sure just LOVED the poetic/spiritual beauty of the morning of Splinter’s ‘passing’. “…they sadly walked out onto the deck to watch the sunrise take their master away with the morning dew” – aw man, it maybe silly or stupid of me, but I think it’s one of my favorite lines in this story; it just breaths with something powerful, mysterious, ancient… I can’t explain.
And I’m insanely happy that Splinter actually survived. And, I’m amazed at his sense of honor and resignation; he chose not to burden April by revealing his feelings for her while he was alive; she never had to make any kinds of decisions, because he chose to make it easy for her, at least as easy as it could be… And he was so brave to finally tell her in the end… Dammit, go for him, April, you can’t let such a man go! :)
Charlie’s way of repaying the turtles is just great :) Though she gave Donnie some hard time and probably a couple of nervous breakdowns (at the very least) by her silence and absence, the result of her hard work is so worth it! A brilliant set up for a sequel, along with the Leo/Lisa teasing part of the plot :)
Lots of love for you and this story!
