Oh yeah. I love this, especially chapter one. More elfquest yaoi! (My devious desires for a Rayek/Cutter scene are running rampant after reading this...but Skywise deserves the sweetness.)

I hope you haven't abandoned this fic, as it is very good. I think many of us EQ fans were let down by handling of Cutter and Skywise's recognition, and it's nice to see a retelling of it that isn't uber-cheesy or over too quickly as I thought it was in the comic. I'd like to see more.

And Lady Tiku, you may not like it, but it is Pini-sanctioned canon now that Cutter and Skywise did recognize each other. You might want to do some research or head off to the comic book store; you've apparently missed a lot (not all of it good).

I tried, really i did. But I have followed the stories of the 'World of Two Moons' for over 20 years. No, I am not kidding you. And I just can not accept "RECOGNITION" between to males. It goes against the very purpose of it. And there is no such thing as 'slash' in the EQ universe since all manner of pairing was set out by Wendy & Richard as normal in the first place. It is just an odd notion to me. And you write so well in this way. Very few ppl can handle the vocabulary that is particular to the EQ universe. And even fewer manage the combination of voice and 'sending' conversations so naturally. And forgive me but after 20 years, I actually cant figure out which scene you rewrote so to speak. And my older books have all been bagged and boxed so i can't easily check it out. I'm sorry if this seems like a back handed review. The writing is well done, I just can't take this particular change in facts (the recognition). And it's not as if they are not in a 3 matting (not quite but close enough for this reference). I would love to read your fics if you have some that stay tru to the EQ world and the way it works though.
