Sorry, my muse and I are greatly enjoying this story, and she can't wait to see what happens next. This is a great story so far. And I am ashamed to say from what little I do know about Karai this story seems pretty accurate to her personality. I think she is a good character but Amazon is taking it's sweet time sending me the new turtle series so all I know about her I know from the 2007 movie. But I think the story is really good.
And yes despite the fact the bastard was trying to make both their lives a living hell and the fact Leonardo probably would've killed said Bastard himself if he had the opportunity Karai probably made the right choice.
But it's one more thing that let's us know how much, despite the fact that this was an arranged marriage, Karai has grown to love Leonardo. Although she has yet to say the words out loud.
Well thanks for a great story and I hope more comes soon.

Oh, how I'm enjoying this! We finally, FINALLY get to the point where Karai is open about her affection (okay, maybe too strong a word) toward Leonardo, and you throw this snag in there! The backstory about this ex-fiance is believable, and I even imagine the Karai would have been allowed to kill the guy off after enough time had passed that his remaining resources would go to her and her Father. I like how you've written Leo characteristically concerned, but not overbearing. I can't wait for the next update!

I have been very remiss in not reading and reviewing this story for so long. I can't tell you how happy I was to find you had continued with it! I love Leo and Karai, and I have to say this is one of my favourite stories regarding them. The way you keep them so true to their characters, maintaining the friction between them despite their marriage, is simply wonderful.
And I had to giggle at the end of Chapter 3 over Mike losing his bet! XD
Good luck with your move, and with continuing with this story. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of it (set in Japan? YAY!!), and am hoping to keep up with reading a bit more online this year.
