This was, overall, a surprisingly good fic, considering the pairing is hetero and I usually stick to slash (it was way more tolerable than most Joker/female fics though, I'm glad to report). I do, however, have a few complaints. The main one being Joker's OOC-ness towards the end there. And throughout some parts in the beginning as well. I just find it incredibly hard to imagine him feeling anything towards anyone, especially love and affection. He also seems like a emotionless and extremely cold character, so the scene(s) where he cries, among others, were incredibly hard to imagine. But I understand everyone views him differently, and you are free to characterize him however you see fit. It is your fic, after all.

My second "complaint" may seem rather ridiculous and random. I apologize. Blame it on my OCD. Anyway, it is of my opinion that the name Erik does... not really fit the Joker. Once you started calling him that, paired with his OOC-ness, I started imagining a completely different character. I had to keep reminding myself that this was the Joker I was reading about. But, once again, this is your fic. You can name him whatever you want.

I also found a few somewhat distracting spelling and grammar mistakes throughout, so you might want to find a beta for your future writings.

I would like to end this review by saying once again that I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was in comparison to most other Joker/female fics floating around. It wasn't as cheesy, cliche, and fangirl-ish as others I've had the misfortune of coming across. Kudos to you for accomplishing that.

I'm sorry some talentless buttfuck stole your story. That happened to me a few years ago in the FMA category...it was like if you need a beta, I'll help. Just don't jack MY ideas and put your misspelled name on it!!! The funny thing is, when they post them on FF, its like the story sucks. Almost if karma is like 'This is stolen, therefore it shall not yield positivity'. I'm sorry, and I agree with the reporting them daily until its taken down.

I don't know if you posted your story on fanfiction.net too, (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4420892/1/Last_Breath) or if someone stole it and put it there, but I just wanted to check because I freaking hate people who plagiarize.

I have to first confess that this story is what finally convinced me to get an account here. I couldn't leave this story without a review! :D

So, I just have to say that the Joker's always been my favorite Batman villain, but I never liked him with Harley Quin, so this Joker/Barbara pairing is just up my alley. ;)

I just -love- this story. Perfect representation of the lust/fear the Joker would inspire, and an amazing job with his backstory! I just...I have nothing constructive to say, really, other than it's simply stunning.

You are the first to successfully humanize the Joker, and it is hot hot HOT!
