I like this chapter, because we see a little of Ethel's parents and their reactions to their daughter's change. I don't think my mom would have let me go out the door braless to the prom when I was a junior in high school, but hey, this is fanfic!!

'he could be covering up his loneliness by being a major asshole to be the center of attention, good or bad.' i totally agree with that. we see Reggie's parents almost never compared to the others and it can b surmised that they are too busy to be involved with their son's life. Reggie is an only child too. He is starved of affection.
