A Hop, Skip, and a Deminsion Warp

The battle raged fiercely. It was five children attacking a lone man. These five children were far from ordinary, however. The Teen Titans were challenging one of the most dangerous villains they had ever met, Slade. Slade had been busy in the city for the past year stealing various technologies for his ultimate weapon. This weapon was not to destroy the Titans, but instead transport them to an alternate dimension. Slade had thought that if it works he might be able to pull someone out from other dimensions to serve him.

Slade's robots continued to fight against the Titans. Far from beaten, Robin and his team refused to give in to their numbers. Starfire's starbolts flew in multiple directions. Beast Boy's animal super strength ripped apart the androids. Raven, using her dark magic, attacked the moving androids with the smashed remains of their fallen. Cyborg and Robin, however, raced to Slade himself who seemed to be working on a control pad for his device.

When the Titans found out about the device they knew that it had to be destroyed immediately. Looking at it, it sat on a large platform with a 10-ft swirling vortex at the back and a powerful-looking cannon in the front. Robin cursed himself again and again for not being able to stop the madman from collecting the parts he needed. Countless innocents had died just trying to escape him and his minions. Sending another flurry of exploding disks ahead, Robin continued forward through the androids. His mission was clear: Stop Slade or die trying.

The final piece was in place. A giant diamond to be used for the focus of the vortex beam. Slade began the warm-up sequence. He will finally be rid of the Titans. His robots only have to hold them for a bit longer.

"Cyborg, give me a boost!" Robin called out behind his half-metal friend.

Spinning quickly, Cyborg cupped his hands and hurled the Boy Wonder to the platform. Slade trained the weapon onto Robin as he landed. "How nice of you to join me, Robin," Slade said as the vortex of the weapon began to shift color and speed. "Since I've been having such a troublesome time doing away with you and your friends, I've arranged a new home for you."

"I will stop you!" Robin stated as another android dropped in front of him. A kick and a punch later, Robin threw the android over his shoulder into the cannon that Slade was operating. As they hit, the cannon's barrel was pointed up and activated. The laser shot up through a warehouse window into the night sky. "Noooo!" Slade cried as the diamond that was the focus of the beam shattered under the stress of the laser.

Throwing the robot aside, Slade stood and glared down at Robin, "This is far from over Robin. I have all the information I need to build again. However as I can't leave without giving you a parting gift-" Pushing the last button on the weapons console, all of the androids stopped moving and took off their masks showing countdowns on each. "Goodbye, Robin," With that said, Slade disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Terror stricken, Robin turned to his team, "Everyone out now!" Fleeing with all the strength that they had left, the Teen Titans barely made it out of the warehouse before all the robots self-destructed. There were a few bumps and bruises, but soon they were back at the tower resting after another mission was completed. But the story didn't end there.
