Raven was reading a story her eyes getting heavy because she was tired. It was a story she used to enjoy as a child. as she began to fall asleep her mind began to form a dream for her.. before she knew it she was standing in a dark foreboding gothic forest, a distant wolf howl made her shudder involuntarily. as she tried to figure out were she was, she began to walk the trail before her breaking into a jog, then a sprint as the howls began to get closer.. turning around she could catch the outline of one skirting in the shadows.. as she began running faster she hated sometimes how she lived her dreams. as she's thinking this she hears a beastly growl and felt great weight hitting her in the back.. sending her to the ground she lets out a terrified scream as she hits the ground.. conking her head as she falls into darkness

she woke in a strange home, looking up at a creature who resembled Beast boy in his Were beast form.. but dressed in a noble attire. "Are you Stupid girl?" he asks with a beastial deep tone "No" she answers "Funny would think anyone with brains wouldnt be walking that woods at night, you do Realize if I hadnt of come out there you'd be dead right?" holding her head she tries to remember what happened the night before.. wincing in pain as she tries to get up "Stay down girl." her apparent Rescuer orders. apparently he was used to being obeyed she answers rather annoyed "My name isnt Girl it Is Raven!" "Well Raven you had better learn to listen, because it is a long walk back to the nearest village and I'm not going to tolerate insulence in my household!" his voice booming with annoyed venom.. he seemed a person who didnt care for the idea of company. this beastial man just turned his back staring at the fireplace ignoring her after his outburst. she didnt know what to say.. so she just kept her mouth shut watching him, the fires glow flashing an orange, red, and gold tint to his green coloring as he walks to a chair his clawed hands gripping the arm rest. "What is your name?" turning as if he had already forgotten about her he speaks "Gar, but most people just Call me the Beast." before he turns back to the fires glow in thought "Why do you live out here so far from everyone?" chuckling darkly with a familiar smile he turns to her "What do you expect me to do looking like this live In town so a bunch of paranoid townspeople could burn me alive?" "umm good point." is all she could answer at realizing how most people would react to someone with his appearence..looking around the place seemed large.. at best she guessed the room she was in was a den. it was cozy in an odd way, though it was frustrating that her rescuer didnt seem to want to even notice her..

slipping into darkness again she shot up nearly conking herself into beast boy's head "You alright Rae? I heard you Screaming.." looking around she realized she was in the living room using her monotone "Fine just had a bad dream.." nodding in understanding Beast boy plopped into the seat next to her on the couch "Know how that is." she felt uncomfurtable around him thinking about her rescuer in the dream. she gets up and says with no emotion "Thanks for checking up on me Beast Boy, I appreciate it." she didnt hear him answer her as she focussed on her thoughts returning to her room. "Doesnt feel that way.." before he returns to his room depressed,

As Raven sat on her bed she rubbed her temple why did she have that dream.. was it because of the book?..or was there a hidden meaning to it? shaking her head she rubs her temple even if there was she woke up too soon to get it.. why was beast boy her rescuer.. or atleast a part of him.. ? she had too many thoughts this morning already slipping into her meditation hoping to clear her head of Garfield and the beast..

Beast Boy paced in his room "Why Doesnt she like me!?" he screams outloud frustrated and pissed at the same time.. until he feels a familiar dark feeling sweep over him running quickly out of the tower before it can take control.. if he could get out, he might be able to supress it.., landing on the shore he groans in pain as his battle is lost and the beast takes over.. a dark smile appears on his face before he shifts into a form more comfurtable to the beast.. running through the nearby woods as if this was his home territory. a earth shattering howl breaks through the quiet morning

Within Garfields mind

a darker deeper voice looks at him "Not so nice being in the cage is it Garfield?" "let me out!" "No I'm going to teach you how It feels. I'm tired of you pretending I dont exist and purposely Ignoring anything I say.." "Because all you wanna do Is hurt people and Fuck!" "Yeah if you would of listened to me maybe your pretty Terra wouldnt be a life sized paper weight!" "Imagine Garfield how Jealous Robin would of been if you would of let me out facing Slade.." "No then Terra would of been In danger cause you Dont care who gets hurt!" Reaching into the cage he slams Beast Boy into the bars "No I Really dont," a half snarl half smile spreads on a familiar face "But if you would bother working with me instead of against me I wouldnt have to go to such desperate measures to get free of your control would I?" tossing him back against the wall of the cage "now sit back and enjoy the Ride Garfield" laughing manaically as he ran through the woods.

back in the world

Robin scratched his head drinking his coffee "If BB isnt in his room were is he?" "I dont know Rob, BB is never up this early.." "I know usually the Guy sleeps until one of us force him up.." "eh he'll show up sooner or later.." at this the Alarm goes off, running to his computer Robin see's what the situation is "Shit! Slade Is having a bunch of his slade bots at a Research faccility, Cy try To get ahold of BB over the communicator."

In the forest

The beast turns his head trying to figure out the source of the sound.. before he realizes its himself shifting back to the human body he grips the communicator and hears the message "Yo BB wherever you Are Get your Ass over to this research faccility because Slade is up to something!" a beastial Growl escapes his lips "Slade.." if there was one thing in common at all between the two beings.. it was their utter hate of Slade.. Shifting into a giant Eagle he follows the Tcar from the sky.. the Report had been off not only were slade bots running everywhere but Cinderblock was there as well. dropping into a Gorilla he slams his feet into two Slade bots and begins swinging his arms.. using fallen Bots as weapons he slams them together.. while Robin and Cyborg were busy with Cinderblock.. when suddenly Cinder block breaks free of their attacks charging Right at Raven who was busy with a hand full of Slade bots.. The beast looked at the coming situation.. While Gar screams Noo From within his cage in the mind "I'll work with you Just Dont let her come to harm.."

A dark smile appears on the beast's face as he quickly shifts to were beast form tossing raven aside moving much quicker than he should be able to.. only to be slammed hard with Cinderblocks fist.. sending him flying in the darkness landing ungracefully in a heap of destroyed slade bots.. while he was unconcious Star had rushed him back to the infermary of the Tower.. while the others secured Cinderblock

within the mind
"Why did you have me do that? Now not only are we both hurt.. seriously hurt I might add! but we were knocked out of the fight, and Robin probably thinks we were just weak and gave up again! It doesnt make sense" "Because I care for her.. you Dont have to make sense when your doing something for someone you care for.." even the beast understood that. he had seen too many people his alternate self had come to care for be taken from him too soon he slumps unleashing Gar from the Cage "Just dont forget I need to come out sometimes Garfield.." gripping the beasts shoulder a strange green glow forms between the two persona's until standing is a fusion of the two,

meanwhile about a week afterwards..

"will he wake?" a concerned Raven asked "Should he's healing but he hit his head pretty hard when he landed.. so I'm not sure if even if he does he will be the same.." Cy shook his head slumping next to the young man he thought of as a little brother.. "I hope thats not the case Cy.." Nodding with an unspoken agreement. he sighs looking at him wires and devices running through his body..getting up the metallic titan looked back once "I guess we should let his body rest you coming with Rae?" "Soon enough.." she answers not looking away from BB.. as she gets up she kisses his forehead several tears falling on his face.. as the tower shuts down for the night a green glow took over the comatose body.. just as the mind was changing so was the body, his limbs were lengthening, slightly his shoulders broadening slightly his stomach toning.. before his eyes shot open .. his eyes flashed yellow for a moment before he returns to the darkness..

The next morning Beast boy groaned trying to get up as Cyborg was coming into check on him. at first the changes were so slight he almost didnt notice then he opened his eyes.. they were a beastial yellow instead of his usual green Rae was right behind Cy and when she saw him trying to sit up she lost her usual composure grabbing him into a hug that would be in Starfires league groaning he said "Jeesh handle with Care here." she let go blushing though he doesnt seem to notice the odd behavior in her. He rubs the back of his head "ouch someone get the liscense plate of that truck." before she also noticed the change..she had seen his eyes that shade before.. and it frightened her at first. as Cyborg helped him up he looked embarassed cause he was in one of those hospital gowns.. "umm Rae mind turning your back for a sec?" they also noticed the differance in his height, it was a slight differance.. couple of inches tops but it was enough to make him a forehead taller than Rae.. as he drops his hospital coat the differance proves just enough that his uniform doesnt fit anymore.. coming up short on his arms and legs.. so that green flashed sliding his gloves on.. his fingers were a bit longer grumbling he shakes his head.. "What the heck Did everything shrink while I was out!?"

Cy looks at him in confusion as Rae finally turns around finally getting a control on herself again seeing that he was ok.. and watched as he walked out of the infirmary and back to his room to grab his wallet. he shakes his head grabbing all his uniforms he walks to the elevator going to go and get a new uniform set. when Robin comes out holding his coffee being a detective he rubs his chin he noticed something was differant. But what he couldnt put his finger on."Hey BB I'm glad to see your up and about." "Yeah I guess, I'll be back soon talk to you later Robin" as he steps into the elevator he notices his gait was differant more beastial.. like the movements of a large cat powerful but graceful.. he wasnt even making a sound as he walked. odd is all he could think..

BB:"Hell yeah I like this change "
Raven: "I'm not sure about this.." still looking at beast boy's new eyes
Cyborg: "long as he likes it is all that matters.."
Nos: just wait and see my green friend this is only the beginning..
