Aftermath

FINAL CHAPTER. IT'S SHORT I KNOW! BUT HEY! HAHAHAHA I DUNNO..YEAH...RATE AND REVIEW! I COMMAND YOU!...NOT REALLY........

Sounds of poppers and the fluttering of confetti filled the main lounge in the Titan Tower.

“Welcome back, Terra!” Cyborg said cheerfully as he blew on a paper horn.

“Yes! Welcome back friend!” Star said clasping her hands together.

Beast Boy wrapped an arm around her waist and smiled at her. She giggled as the confetti and smiled down at him. Beast Boy looked around the room, Robin had disappeared, searching for Slade again. And Raven sat in the corner of the room, reading. He excused himself and walked over to Raven, giving her a nice smile.

“Whatcha reading?” He asked.

“None of your business.” Raven replied, flipping the page.

Beast Boy pouted and looked over at the other Titans. “Raven? Can we talk?”

“We are talking, Beast Boy.” She replied, not looking up.

“About us, I mean.”

“There is no us.”

Raven got up and closed her book, leaving the room. Beast Boy followed and gripped onto her arm, swinging around.

“Raven, I don’t want you to hate…”

“I don’t hate you, Beast Boy. We are too different.”

Beast Boy let her go and stood there looking at his shoes. “Tara is my first love…”

“Beast Boy, I understand.”

“Friends?”

“You know it.”

Beast Boy hugged Raven and she stood stiff as a board. He pulled back and chuckled, “I forgot no physical contact…”

She gave him a small smile making him grin wildly. She hugged him briefly, pulling back and straightening up.

“I…better get back to the party.” He thumbed to the loud music in the other room.

Raven nodded and watched him run as fast as he could. She sighed and turned around, walking down the hall, her hands twisting at her cloak. She stopped short of the computer lab, watching the lights flicker inside.

Tapping on the door, it slid open and Robin was hunched over the table, typing furiously.

“Hey.” Raven said quietly.

He turned and looked at her, “Hey Raven.”

Raven walked in and looked at the screen.

“Just seeing if there was anything about Slade.”

“He’ll be back.”

“I know.”

Robin stood and they stared at each other for a little bit before blushing.

“Are you alright?” He asked, concerned.

“To be honest…no…I feel…hurt, betrayed…disloyal.”

Robin grabbed her hands and tilted her chin up at him.

“You are far from disloyal. I happen to think you’re the only person I give my trust fully to. And I understand what happened between you and Slade…”

Raven tore away and looked down, “I was weak…I didn’t…”

“You don’t have to…you were strong, Raven. Don’t let anyone tell you that you weren’t. You are strong, brave, loyal...beautiful. I would go to the end of the Earth for you...hell I did didn't I”

"Thanks, for believing." Raven blushed and looked down, holding onto his hands.

"Hey, what are friends for, right? I believed in you before and I still do now...even more so..."

She smiled and looked up at him. They hugged tightly, Robin inhaled the scent on her hair, loving it. He pulled back slightly, caressing her cheek with his thumb. She moved closer, he hands on his chest. He leaned in, she tilted her head up, he moved in closer. Both of their eyes closing, getting closer and closer and….

Red lights stared flashing in the room and loud ringing noises echoed down the halls.
