What happens next is not for the squeamish. Please proceed with caution I am not sure where I am going with the characters. So I can't give any hints...

‘There was no point sitting home. Jason didn’t own her. She can’t let him run her life. He couldn’t hurt her if she was with Reggie " Betty was thinking.

She dressed up and was looking forward to going out with Reggie.

 They both arrived in grand style at the disco.

 Cheryl came with Jason. Jason took a chance with hopes of  finding Betty there.

Betty seemed to like to go ‘slumming with the low life townies’   instead of the society balls and country club affairs that Jason liked. God, how he despised these people!

But Betty will learn to like what he liked.

She’d better learn.

She really  had no choice.

She was his girl.

Now and forever.

How dare she think she could just leave him like that!

Veronica was there with Archie. All  of the Riverdale gang was there.

Reggie and Betty went straight to the dance floor.

Betty didn’t see Jason. The disco was jumping.

The gang greeted them.

But Jason  saw her.  She had on a short red dress, high heels, hair up, but cascading down with Shirley Temple curls, very pretty indeed. Betty Cooper is a raving beauty.

Jason’s heart leapt with joy at the site of her.

His girl.

 Until he saw him.

Reggie Mantle. God how he hated Mantle!

Reggie had on a dark gray sports jacket, black pants and light gray shirt, open at the neck, no tie. Suave man, Red flower to match.

He was not going to wear a red shirt.

 Jason though Betty was looking  much too happy with Mantle.

 Cheryl was getting sick of this thing Jason had for Betty. 

Cheryl didn’t think Betty was good enough for her twin.

 And Reggie seemed as if he belonged with Betty. Cheryl hated admitting this.

 ‘This bitch is messing with both my men’ Cheryl thought, though Reggie never even hinted he had feelings for Cheryl.

 It was always all about that ‘Betty’

 “Jay what do you see in her? “ Cheryl asked  him for the millionth time

“I love her. Stop asking me Cher!”

“I’m scared Jay. I’ve never seen you so into someone. It’s not healthy”

“Oh I should be like you, spreading myself around?”

“Yeah bro, nothing serious, all fun and games. Lighten up. Lots of   hotties  here want you. Look around. You can take your pick”

Cheryl was right. Many girls were sending admiring looks Jason’s way.

He wanted none of them.

Jason decided to get up and dance with one of them to shut Cheryl up, and to get closer to Betty and Mantle.

Jason asked some strange girl to dance.

Jason just had to get closer to her. He missed her so much.Betty has to talk to him…Be his girl again.

 Betty and  Reggie was  dancing to a slow beat,  blond and dark heads close together.

 Reggie was just starting to tell Betty how he felt about her,

“Betty, I want you to know, you are…”

When, Betty stiffened suddenly in his arms.

 She saw Jason Blossom dancing not too far away his blue eyes fixed on her.

“What’s wrong babe” Reggie asked, hoping it wasn’t because of him that made Betty so distressed.

 Betty quickly excused herself, telling Reggie she had to use the restroom.

She  felt  so much fear of Jason that she felt nauseous.

 “Hurry back Babe” Reggie said, kissing her temple.

 As Reggie moved off the dance floor he also caught site of Jason.

He saw Jason follow Betty with his eyes and whole body.

 Reggie now understood why he felt Betty stiffen in his arms.

 "Hey what’s this?” Reggie will keep both eyes open. Something is very strange here.

Betty had pressed a cold towel to her face.

It still stung from Jason hitting her a few weeks ago.

She was so afraid….

“Hey Betts, come on out now. Are you alright?” Reggie was calling her from outside the girl’s room.

Betty had been in there over 20 minutes.

“Sorry Reggie. Can we leave now? I ‘m not feeling well”.

She asked him as soon as she had the nerve to leave the bathroom.

Should she tell him about Jason?

“Sure Bets. Let me get our jackets and we’ll blow this joint”

 Reggie realized there was something going on, as Betty totally refused to look at Jason.

Jason kept giving  Betty very intense.

Reggie was going to ask her about it as soon as they were alone.

Reggie  left Betty  for a moment. Betty went outside.

She couldn’t stand those looks from Jason any longer.

 Betty couldn’t risk Jason being alone with her. She should be safer outside.

She was wrong. 

He was already outside, waiting for her.

 When did he leave the disco?

“You can’t get away from me that easily Sweetheart” he said

“Jason, please leave me alone. I won’t tell anyone you hit me, but it’s over”

“It’s over when I say and I say No Way!”  he hissed at her, very menacing.

He began to feel desperate. She didn’t want him!

 Jason quickly looked around, waiting for the right moment, when no one could see them…

He waited for his chance, saw no one around and, then…

Wham!

He struck Betty in the face. Stunning her.

Jason then quickly picked her up and carried her towards his car.

Once inside, Betty came to her senses, she tried to scream, kick and bite him.

Jason then punched her in her face, as hard as he could, knocking her out cold.

There was the sound of a bone breaking.

He drove off, quickly, before Mantle found them

Jason did it all so quickly no one even saw them leave.
