raven learns focus

Note: OH MY GOD IS IT FINALY AN UPDATE. Sorry it took so long, I have next two chapters written in my mind for a while but had to think of a bridge to get us there. Thank you to the people that e mailed me and reminded me to update everyone on what was going on between Beast Boy and Raven. Enjoy and as always I look forward to your reviews and e-mails.

Shopping?????


Raven was laying in a field staring off into the sky, Best Boys head was on her chest. It was a sunny spring afternoon and all the flowers were in bloom. Raven felt so at peace with the world, just her and Beast Boy, the rest of the world was gone, the scent of flowers drifting through the air. There was something troubling her though. A song was in the air, one she thought she knew and had the feeling she did not like. Slowly the song began to build in volume until it was loud and clear. Raven could not remember where she had heard the song before but Beast Boy did not seem to notice it. Then the sky started to darken and she saw plumes of smoke rise from the valley below, arching lazily toward them. Instantly Beast Boy was up but he looked different now. He was wearing military gear and holding an impossibly huge gun. Beast Boy yelled "dude that's so not good enough, I'm gonna kill you now!" and then he bounded down the slope toward the valley floor.

Raven closed her eyes and when she opened them again she was in her hotel room. She could hear Beast Boy shouting at someone over what was obviously a video game. Frustrated she rolled over to look though the open door to the main room thinking "Of all the things I could compete with for his attention it had to be a video game." Not sure she could win that fight she sat up thinking "boys will be boys".

Raven was rubbing the sleep from her eyes when she heard Melissa's voice, "have good dreams last night" she heard the woman ask. Raven just stared at her for a moment and noticed that Melissa was winking at her. It was then that Raven realized that she was naked and had kicked the covers off the bed in her sleep. Flailing franticly to retrieve the covers, and a little of her lost dignity, she tumbled off the side of the bed and landed flat on her back. She was looking up at the ceiling when she saw Melissa's head over her. "I bought my brother Joey here to keep Beast Boy company while we go out shopping", the head said. "Shopping?" was all Raven could manage to say as she scrambled to cover herself with the blanket.

"Shopping" Melissa, repeated as if it were obvious. "Shopping for what" Raven asked confused. "A dress for your date, I have seen what you brought with you and you have nothing to wear." Melissa said as she walked around the bed and open the blinds letting the noon sun stream into the room. "You have seen what I brought with me" Raven asked concerned. "While you were sleeping I put you clothing away for you, you looked... tired so I thought I would help you out and girl you have NOTHING to wear." The image of Melissa walking around her room while she lay naked on top of the bed made Raven bury her face in the blanket our of embarrassment. Seeing Ravens reaction Melissa said "what???, your not embarrassed are you? if I had your body I would show it off more often, besides that we are both girls, the boys did not even notice, as a matter of fact playmate could be sitting nude next to them and they would not see her, unless of course she were blocking the tv..... or kicking their asses in the game".

Raven barely had time to catch the cloths Melissa was tossing at her saying "hurry up we don't have all day you know it's already noon and we have a ton of stores to go to". What followed was a frantic race for Raven to shower and dress while Melissa went over their shopping plan for the day. Raven hoped that the woman was kidding when she listed all the stores they were going to visit. Just before leaving Raven stuck her head into Beast Boys room only to find him sitting on the bed with a young boy who must have been about 12 years old. The two were in a heated argument about who was going to kick whose ass in the next round of the game. She decided to let the boys play, if she said anything she could not be sure Beast Boy would stay put and "rest" up.

Raven was positive that Melissa really really loved to play dress up as a child and Raven was a new doll for her to play with. Raven was sure that half the cloths the woman picked out were for her own personal amusement. She knew there was no way Melissa was seriously going to ask her to dress like an anime/goth girl, "me a goth girl, yea right" Raven thought. After the fourth store Raven had decided that Melissa and Starfire were long lost twins and she was going to suggest they meet each other when Melissa asked "What is it about beast boy you like the most?". The question took her by surprise; she had not really given it that much serious thought. From the other side of the dressing room curtin she heard the Melissa ask if she was OK. "Yea" Raven said, "I'm not really sure what I like the most about him" Raven replied as she continued to put on a classic little black dress.

"He's cute sure" Raven offered in response "but that not the only thing". "He loves animals, tries to make everyone happy, will do anything to help out a friend and will stand by you through thick and thin" Raven said talking more to herself now than to Melissa. "He is also sad in a way, I mean I'm sure his life was hard as any of ours before we joined the team but he just seems to take the bad things in the past in stride and move forward. He doesn't seem brood on the past like me, or look for revenge like Robin. He love technology like Cyborge but doesn't obsess over it and he can be as silly as Starfire a lot of the time." Raven mused finally squeezing into the impossibly tight dress. Just before she opened the curtin she finished "he's like the best parts of all of us.." she said and then a sly smile came over her face and as she absentmindedly opened the curtin and said "and god he has a cock to die for". She stood facing Melissa but the woman did not say a word, she just stood with her hand over her mouth trying not to giggle too much. It was then that Raven realized that she had said all that stuff out loud. She had been caught off guard taking to the woman and did not have any experience with "girl talk" and was sure she was blushing 10 shades of red.

Ravens fight or flight reflex kicked into overdrive, and the need to run was about to win when Melissa gave her a big hug. "If only one of the hundreds of men I meet were half as good as him I would be happy, your so lucky" Melissa declared as if she were making the final decision on if Beast Boy was good enough for Raven "... and a nice cock helps" she finished with a wink, which made Raven blush another four shades of red.

The rest of the day went much better; Raven seemed more at ease with Melissa than she ever did with any other woman. It was like she was spending time with a friend she had known for ages; even the game of dress up started to become fun. They finally decided on the perfect little black dress. Melissa said Raven was one of the few girls she knew that could wear it and make it look like it were as natural as skin, which made Raven smile. Raven had never really considered what she looked like as being too important but when she looked in the mirror she had to smile. They had picked out some nice black heals and nylons and finished it off with some tasteful fake jewelry. "He is gonna have a stiffy all night" Melissa kidded and the two girls giggled their way back to the cab.

It was dark by the time they had finished shopping and Melissa had insisted that Raven wear the cloths home. They took the elevator up to Ravens room but when it passed their floor Raven looked at Melissa concerned. "Just wait I have a surprise for you" the woman said with a mischievous smile. When the elevator door open Raven realized they were on the rooftop of the building. Across the roof near the edge was a table set for dinner with candles and everything, it looked like they were stepping into the most elegant private restaurant Raven had ever seen. Then she noticed Beast Boy. "I had a tailor come by while we were gone" Melissa whispered in Raven's ear, "you like?". Beast Boy was dressed in a perfectly fitted black suit and tie, with an light green button up shirt and a light green handkerchief in the jacket pocket. Raven's knees went weak and Melissa grabbed her arm and guided her toward Beast Boy. Beast Boy looked nervous at first but when he say Raven approach with a huge smile on her blushing face, he drew himself up and tried to strike a suave pose, or at least as suave as he could manage.
