Darkness begins
When Reggie returned, Betty was gone. He went outside. No Betty.
He called her cell. No answer. Reggie went looking all over the disco for her. He didn’t know why he had such a bad feeling. Reggie didn’t want to call her house. He was afraid to panic her folks. She had to be here somewhere. Reggie even went in the women’s bathroom to check. He had the DJ announce her name to come meet him now. No one had seen Betty recently. Where is she? This was not like Betty. Reggie knew she would not just leave. And where was Jason? Reggie was frantic now. He looked around for Cheryl. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ While Reggie was tearing around looking for Betty at the club, Jason was busy carrying an unconscious Betty into his family’s very private beach house. No one was there. Just a few servants, but they knew not to interfere with him. They didn’t count in Jason’s eyes.Jason carried Betty into his huge bedroom.
And locked the door behind him. His bedroom was sound proof. He wanted no interruptions. “I told you I don’t want you with anyone but me. I told you that I love you. That wasn’t enough for you. You can’t just throw my love back in my face like that. I guess I will just have to show you how much I love you" "After I get done with you, you will be mine, babe” Jason was saying all of this to Betty’s unconscious body. A bruise had started to form on her forehead, and the left side of her face was already dark purple and very swollen. Jason had broken her nose. Jason was no longer rational. He was not used to anyone turning him down. He could never take rejection very well. Jason felt he had really tried so hard to overlook Betty being poor and Middle class. He loved Betty so much. So much he hurt inside. But no matter how hard he tried,she didn’t love him. It seemed she cared about that shit Reggie Mantle! How dare Betty not return his feelings! Jason would make sure Betty had to be with him. He felt he had the right to do anything he wanted because he loved Betty. No one else will want her when he was through… He would make sure of that.
