Back at the Disco….

Reggie was impatiently waiting for Cheryl to call every known friend and  hangout of Jason’s. to see if they saw him, and if Betty was with him.. No one saw them.

Veronica and Archie noticed that Reggie was still looking for Betty and came over to see what was going on.

When Veronica heard that Betty was still missing, she  became very disturbed.

She remembered how Jason had acted previously with Betty.

And now that Betty has broken up with him…

“Look, I’m calling Daddy, Reggie. We need his help in finding Betty. I have a bad feeling about this. I think she’s with Jason”

“So do I Ron, so do I.” Reggie answered.

The others felt his fear and dread.

Archie said nothing, but he was afraid too.

Afraid of what, none of them knew. They were all afraid of the unknown.

They have never had anything bad happen  to any of them in their lives, so how bad could it be?

Cheryl had actually begun to worry when she had called everyone they knew and no one had seen Jason. Reggie stood next to her, looking worried, still asking everyone  who passed them if they saw Betty .

Reggie had even gone into the women’s room, again to look for Betty, causing quite a stir, for sure.

“Look Cheryl, Betty wouldn’t just leave like that!”

Reggie said, really pissed off at Cheryl’s indifference.

He vowed to never deal with her again after this night.

“Reggie,, maybe they left together! Maybe Jason swept her off her feet"

 “Cheryl, Betty would not just leave and not tell anybody. She came with me and she’d leave with me!"

"Call Jason’s cell again and see if she’s with him. Please!”

Cheryl did as he asked.

Jason did not answer his cell. He wasn’t at home either.

“ Then call him back and tell him I’m calling the police if he doesn’t answer in 2 minutes”

Reggie said, his cell in his hand, ready to dial..  No answer again.

 Reggie called the police.

 “Let’s go Cheryl. Think! Where else can they be!?” He asked her, shaking her,  harsh in his worry.

That was when Cheryl had thought of the beach house.

“They could be at our beach house!  It’s almost 2 hours away”

“Let’s go!”. Reggie grabbed Cheryl’s arm and dragged her to his car.

Reggie called Chuck and told him to have Betty call him if he saw her. 

Chuck told Nancy. They were also very worried. where could she be?

Veronica and Archie was right behind them. They didn'twant to  tell the rest of the gang anything, not wanting to cause a panic. 

What if Betty and Jason were making out somewhere? But they knew it was highly unlikely.

Veronica had called her father for assistance. Mr. Lodge had the whole Riverdale police force and a few hired detectives out looking for Betty. Ronnie gave her father the address to the Blossom beach house.

Reggie felt it was his duty to call Betty’s parents. He told them the grim news while he pulled off, tires screeching as he sped away.

“I’m sorry Mrs. Cooper. I’ve  failed Betty.  I should have followed my instincts about that guy. I’ll never forgive myself if anything happens to her”

“Reggie, it’s not your fault. It’s that monster Jason” Mrs. Cooper was crying, her husband by her side.

The police had called them and they were to wait at home in case Betty came home.

Reggie  just knew something bad was happening to her.

Reggie just hoped they would find Betty in time.

‘Please God, Please let them find her!’ He prayed.over and over as he sped off  and entered the freeway.

Veronica was too nervous to drive,so Archie took the wheel. He was right behind Reggie and Cheryl.
