Dating blues

Nightwing looked up from his armour. it was coming along nicely now. He was nearly finish when he heard a car explode outside of the building he was in. With a grin on his face he went over to the window and saw Overload battling the teen titans. It was amusing to say the least and it was the first time since being freed that he'd had a chance to watch the titans battle someone. Then he noticed a com system that was protected againt Overload's engery.
"If I could get my hands on that.." Nightwing said, his mouth drooling.
However the titans would be a problem, even if he wasn't captured because they were busy with Overload, there was still the fact that they would hunt for him around this area of town. He couldn't rely on the Hive mostly because if the titans were here then the hive was imprioned. Nightwing stopped and smiled.
"But did they take off the braclets?"

Cyborg was thorw back by overloads arm which also caused some of the components in his chest to sizzle.
"Yo, watch the hardware!" Cyborg yelled.
Beast boy flew over head with a bucket of water and dropped it on Overload who cried out in pain. Changing back from his hawk form, Beast boy smiled.
"You think that hurt..." He pointed up before turning into a gorilla and grabbing Cyborg and taking him out off of the street.
Overload looked up to see Starfire with a tank full of water. the villan had time to quickly curse before the water was poured on him which as always shorted him out and left him as a harmless computer componant. The water quickly sloshed down into the sewers but left Slade's com on the street. Starfire moved to pick it up frowning.
"The Slade does not usually leave such things with his henchmen."
"A master of the obvious as usual!" Nightwing's voice called out. Cyborg, Beast boy and Starfire looked around trying to spot him.
"Come out and fight!" Starfire demanded.
"I could do that...Or you could back away from the com. I want it." Nightwings voice moved around in the darkness, never staying in one place long enough to be tracked.
"Why would we agree to that?" Beast boy asked, voice full of contempt.
"You guys never managed to take the braclets off of the Hive Five did you?" Nightwing cocky voice called out.
"You wouldn't..." Cyborg said eyes wide.
"Care to test that? Walk away titans. We'll fight on my terms. Failure to do otherwise and the Hive go bye bye." Nightwing gave a small laugh.
"You are a coward. Will you hide behind your bombs when we do fight?" Starfire asked enraged.
A cd inside of a case was tossed out of the shadows and landed by Cyborg.
"Pay attention children. Thats tonights homework. That disc will tell you how to take the braclets off of the hive. But it's protected with an encrpytion. Crack it and the info is yours. Now get out of here."
Cyborg picked up the CD and growled. He didn't want to leave Nightwing free to do more harm but right now finding a way to remove those braclets took priority. Maybe the titans and the hive didn't get along but he wasn't going to let them be blown up. For no other reason then once they did change Nightwing back into Robin he wouldn't want the kid to live with the knowledge that he had killed.
"Titans, we're leaving."

Nightwing waited till they were a good five blocks away before he shot a grappling hook around the com and whiped it back to himself and retreated back into his little base. There was a slight lock on the com but it was childs play to break it and dial up Slade. The villans face shone back at Nightwings.
"I see you got my little message. What happned to Overload?"
"I let the titans take care of him and then jumped in and grabbed this. I assume they're taking him to jail...though i can't remember them actually grabbing him. he might of been flushed down the sewers." Nightwing said with a wicked grin.
"Oh well, he was expendable, as are many of my aillies. Now, let's talk about this recent change in you Robin."
"Nightwing. the name is Nightwing." He said quickly and with a snarl.
"I see. a better name in any case. Now while I am interested in offering you a partnership now that you have seemed to turn your back on the titans, I'm prone to belive that this is simply another trick like Red X."
"This is no trick Slade. I'm not the little boy you've been getting your rocks off over. I'm the darkest parts of the boy wonder brought to the surface thanks to a mistake by Raven. And i'm telling you right now, I'm only willing to become your appentice long enough to gain enough power to kill you and take over."
Slade let lose a laugh.
"Nightwing my dear boy, If you weren't cocky enough to try you wouldn't be worth my time, and if you ever managed it, then i would deserve it for going soft. But there still is the matter of the titans."
"Don't worry about them. without me to lead them they'll be helpless."
"Still. I hate to leave a job unfinished. I'm prone to belive you were planing this anyways but before I'll welcome you as my appentice I want all of the titans dead and laying on the floor in front of me."
"Great minds think alike." Nightwing said, before turning the com off.

Jinx and Raven were startled when Cyborg and the others came home a hour early. They were quickly filled in on what was happening and sighed.
"The only highlights are Overload and the Hive are now in jail." Cyborg said. "I'll start working on de-coding this disk. I'm assuming you girls didn't find anything?"
"Only a spell for changing your hair color." Jinx said smirking as Raven gave a slight growl.
Cyborg shook his head and headed back to his room. Beast boy was already back in his room resting up. In a way, the other titans envied his being able to flop down to sleep no matter what was going on. Never mind he was having horrible nightmares.
Raven left to take her book back, saying that maybe after a couple of hours of sleep they would be able to do something.
Starfire slid down next to Jinx and stroked her girlfreinds hair.
"I let him escape me twice now." Starfire said looking troubled. Jinx smiled and put her head on Starfire's chest.
"But both times because you let him get away nobody got killed. Thats worth it don't you think?" Starfire sighed but smiled and kissed Jinx's head.
"I suppose."

Cyborg slipped the disc into one of his many compters in his room and started a program up which would slowly work on breaking the encryption. He could do it faster but right now he was just tired. He laid back on his charging tabel and hooked up a cable to his chest and shut himself down for the night, hoping that Nightwing wouldn't hurt anyone else.

Raven couldn't get to sleep. While she had kept herself busy with the book, she hadn't had time to live with what she had done. The others didn't blame her, they were busy trying to capture the newly named Nightwing. Hell, Starfire blamed herself for this. The people who were to blame were Slade for messing up Robin's mind and causing it to almost snap, and herself for thinking she could help him. She should of just brought him to a doctor, but no, she tired to play doctor. She got up and sniffled a little. She knew unlike the others what it was like to be trapped within your darkness. It choked you, it made you freeze and burn at the same time. Tears came to her eyes, but she blinked them away and pulling her cloak back on she quickly made her way into Beast Boys room. Despite what everyone else thought, Beast boy was easy to wake up under the right conditions.His semi animal sense could smell fear. So if you were trying to wake him up for something important then he was awake quickly. If it was just to get him up before noon you were wasting your time. It only took one shake of his shoudler to wake him up.
"mm...Whats wrong?" He asked, a little sleepy.
"I need to be with someone tonight." Raven said in a small voice.
Beast boy rubbed his eyes and fully took in the worried look on Raven's face and lifted up his blanket. he was sleeping in a pair of boxers while she was still in uniform and only took off her cloak. she crawled into bed next to him and pressed her body againt his.
between his semi animal sense and her being a empath they both knew when the other wanted to talk, or just needed to be held. beast boy pulled Raven towards him and held her tight kissing her cheek and tatsing her tears.
"I just wish I could tell him....Sorry." was all Raven said.
"He knows you didn't mean it Raven. Just like he knows we're trying to save him." those were the only words they exchanged that night but they were all that needed to be said. Raven fell alssep soon after and only once he was sure she was sound asleep did Beast boy drift back to sleep.

The suit was finished. Nightwing gave a tired yawn. He was about to berate himself for being tired again so soon when he remembered all of the pills he had swallowed. They were probably just now fully catching up to him. He stripped himself naked and climbed back into his bunk and was quickly asleep, dreams of slaughtering the titans and one day Slade filling his head.

Batman was slowly losing his cool. He was gulping down his hot coffee making a face at it. Flash must of made more of his damn maple coffee. Batman set his cup down and shook his head before going back to his screen. He was going thru all the disturbances. If anything was major he was to alert John to them. As good as the martian was he couldn't keep track of absolutly everything all the time. He hated that anyone knew what was going on, but an idea on how to keep the league out of Jump city came to him. He started a hack that would take all information from jump city and only let it into his console. Once he was off duty he would direct all information down to the bat compter. He was in the middle of the hack when a shadow fell across his screen.
"Bruce we need to talk. I know whats going on but you can't just attack people who get in your way."
Batman closed his eyes. only one man would dare to test him like this. He swung around in his chair and glared at Superman.
"Clark, I don't hassle you when Lois gets in trouble or when any of your little friends need help. All I'm asking for is the same chance here with Dick."
"Except that what Dick can do, might kill hundreds of people. And you're little hack isn't going to help the chance of Jump city." Suerman said with a nod to the console.
"...You can barly work the compters at the daily planet. How did you know what I was doing.....John." Batman begame truly mad now and stood up. He stormed passed Superman who started to follow.
"Back off Clark. I've told John to stay out of my mind!" Superman igored him and started to grab Batman by the arm. Batman responed by doing a surprise judo arm toss with sent Superman into a wall which drew the attention of all the hero's around. John left his comand spot and flew in front of Batman.
"I'm Sorry batman but you have proven you cannot be trusted right now. Until further notice you are relieved of duty. You may work on your own, but you will be monitored, and we will step in and take action."
Batman balled his left hand into a fist and was talking thru his teeth.
"Fine. But you still owe me my one chance john."
The martian manhuter said nothing and instead let Black Atom and Mr. Terrfic lead batman to the transporter. Superman joined John and was rubbing his neck.
"He's going to snap." John said.
"Yea, but can you blame him?" Superman said.
