Dating blues

Jinx took a few moments to swallow the pain as much as she could and then she was opening up the control panel of the T-car and re-wiring it to take her back to the fight. there was no way she was going to leave her girlfriend to be killed by that psycho Nightwing.

It hurt so much just to breath let alone move. Starfire drew in a shaky breath and as she opened her mouth she tasted blood. with a grunt she lifted herself up into a sitting position and spotted Raven looking horrified. she followed Raven's stare and saw something she thought she'd never see.

Batman ran up dodging Nightwings blasts with ease as Nightwing growled in frustration. as he ran his hands slipped onto a tiny device which he triggered which caused Nightwings targeting systems to crash and sparks to fly from his suit. Nightwing looked at his suit in shock and took a hard right from Batman which sent him back.
"Your using my tech. I had fail safes built into everything that can be used for weapons and i just trigger the fail safes." Batman said standing over Nightwing with a grim look on his face.
"Good one old man, too bad i knew about the fail safes, and installed fail safes for the fail safes!" Nightwing said with a grin at the spark died down and he got up and brushed himself up.
"You didn't think it would be that easy did you?"
Batman replied with a hard left which Nightwing caught and started to flip Batman with a judo throw. Batman as he was being swung shot out his right hand right under Nightwings armpit. usually that was a killing move as it drove the ribs into the lungs. however with Nightwings Armour he made a grunting noise as the judo throw was finished sloppy and Batman landed on his feet.
"Not bad for a old man." Nightwing said with a frown.
Batman stayed silent and took up a fighting stance as Nightwing with a gleeful laugh charged.

"J'ohn, What's going on down there?" Superman demanded.
"....the titans are down, none of them fatally injured but all of them but Raven knocked out. Raven's been disabled and Batman is fighting Nightwing." J'ohn said in a calm voice.
"But bats is winning right?" Flash asked looking concerned.
"At the moment they are equal. however Nightwing is younger and has his Armour to keep him going longer than Batman can."
"The real question isn't hows the fight going." Wonder woman said coming up. "The real question is when are we going down there to help?"
Her eyes looked down on the display which played the fight. batman had put up camera's before joining the fight, in case the league was needed, they would know before Nightwing could hurt someone.
Wonder woman watched the man she wanted to call husband and the boy who would become her son fight.

Nightwing caught the kick from batman and begin to swing around in a circle and let batman go and watched with glee as the dizzy batman would be unable to get out a grappling hook in time to save himself. then Starfire shot up, bloodied, bruised, looking half dead and caught Batman and set him down on the ground before falling to one knee and coughing up blood.
"Please....stop...him.." she said slowly.
Raven rushed over and helped Starfire away as Batman looked at Nightwing with a fire in his eyes.
"No more."
Batman dashed up so fast Nightwing was surprised and thought for a second he was facing the flash. Batman spun around and drove his elbow hard into Nightwings gut causing him to kneel over.
"I'm sick of it."
Batman nailed Nightwing in the face with the shin of his leg and if it wasn't for Nightwings mask he would of broken Nightwings nose.
Nightwing stumbled back seeing stars and turned around into Bateman's fist.
"You're not yourself, i tried to be nice and go easy on you."
Nightwing had a bruise on the side of his face as he stumbled back and tried to clear to cobwebs from his head as he tired to get back in the fight Batman nailed him with a flat palm knocking him back down.
"Nightwing...thats what your calling yourself now isn't it? I'm putting a end to this and then I'm going to get you the help you ne-"
Batman stopped as Nightwing ripped off his face and had tears in his eyes.
"B-Bruce? he's gone...you scared him away...I'm sorry...I'm..." The crying dick Grayson held his arms out and Batman let down his guard and hugged his son.
and then Nightwing put his hands together and stuck down hard on the back of Bateman's neck and laughed as he felt the old mans body tense up and then relax as batman passed out. with a chuckle Nightwing shoved the limp body of his father to the ground and put his mask back on while raven and Starfire watched in shock.
"You...you foul gilcor!" Starfire yelled.
"Oh shut the fuck up." Nightwing said in a annoyed voice as he took aim with a energy blast.
"the soul exists of two, the light and the dark, the yin and the yang. let each have it's own flesh." Raven said in a choked voice.
Before Nightwing had time to say what a ball of red energy hit him and he felt like he was being ripped in half. when the light faded standing there 3 feet away was anther him. expect this ones Armour was in Robin colors and wore the robin mask. Nightwing stared in shock and then realized he didn't hear the light half begging for him to stop.
"You...your.."
Robin stood up at full height and held a arm out at Nightwing and fired a blast sending Nightwing back.
"I'm the light half of dick Grayson. but you can call me robin. and I'm going to kick your ass."

The T-car was on the right route now and was heading back towards the fight. Jinx just hoped that she when she got there that Starfire was still safe.

Every one watched the scene in awe, not knowing what to say. then doctor fate spoke up.
"Thats the yin yang spell. why did you use the yin yang spell?"
"what do you mean? is something bad about to happen?" Superman asked.
"Up till now there been a chance to slowly bring Nightwing under control and let Robin take back control. but this spell forces good and evil into a direct fight. If Robin loses this fight, then Dick Grayson will be evil for the rest of his life."
Superman's eyes widen.
"J'ohn teleport us down there, Now!"
"I can not. the power of the spell that Raven used has set up a barrier that we can not break though. even if you fly down there i don't think you or anyone else would be able to break thru." J'ohn said in a bitter voice.
he wondered why he hadn't ignored the Bateman's request and just sent a team down there before now.
"then...then it's up to Robin and the titans.." Flash said in a nervous voice.
"They've faced worse than this. remember Trigon?" Wonder woman said.
"Or slade?" Green lantern said.
"Or Brother blood." Sharia said.
"They'll get the job done. push comes to shove, they're the next generation of heros." superman said.

Robin eyed Nightwing as the dark half of Dick Grayson got back up after the blast.
"Now this is a amusing turn of events. on a side note, how does everyone time it to show up just when i'm about to win?"
Instead of a answer Robin glared at Nightwing and speed towards him.
Nightwing smiled back at his light half and met the charge, the two of them meeting with a fist striking each other in the face hard. they glared at each other before as if they had practiced it perfectly removed their arms and stun around and shot out with swigging round houses that stuck each other, and then from there they both punched each other in the gut and hunched over and backed away.
at the same time they looked up at each other and fired their lasers which were met by the other perfectly. they jumped to their left, then shot up into the air and traded blows back and forth before kicking each other away and both landing on their feet.
"If i didn't know any better, I'd say we were equal." Nightwing said with a small laugh. "But then you have to factor in I'm doing all of this after fighting the titans and Bats so whats your excuse?"
"shut up." Robin said
he kicked into a pile of old pieces of steel and two poles that looked like rusty versions of the bo staff popped up. he grabbed them both and then tossed one to Nightwing who smirked and caught it.
"This is a mistake. you're trying to play fair. playing fair never ends well for the good guy."
"shut up and fight."
They clashed again and again, sparks flying off of their poles from each contract. Nightwing was giving in first, a tad out of breath from his other fights. his eyes darted around, looking for a way out when he spotted Starfire and raven gather the titans and batman into one spot to try and keep them safe.
"Robin, whats the worse thing about being a hero?" Nightwing asked as he jumped back.
Robin had a look of confusion on his face and didn't answer as he chased after Nightwing.
"You never know when some psycho is going to kill your family." Nightwing said, Pointing a hand towards the gathering of titans.
"NO!"
Robin dashed towards the spot as the energy began to fire. he didn't have time to block the shots with anything but his body and clenched his teeth at the force. but even then, he watched in horror as two shots knocked stray pieces of construction down and watched it go right onto the titans and batman.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Robin screamed at the top of his lungs.
he stared in disbelief at the wreckage. in the condition they were in, there was no chance that they had survived. Tear flooded his eyes and he didn't even see Nightwing till the piece of metal was slamming against his side.

It was deadly quiet in the watchtower the league
"They're...they're..." Flash tried to say.
"This can't be happing....is there..any chance that they could of survived that?"
"If Raven's powers were working, or if beast boy were awake, then maybe...but..."
No one said anything else. they watched the scene as Robin was taken apart by Nightwing, unable to recover from having just about everything he loved killed in a instant.

The T-car was getting closer and closer but Jinx wasn't any happier. a news station was covering the fight from a safe distance, though they're camera wasn't working due to interference form a force field of sorts that was keeping all help from joining.
Up till now jinx had been worrying about how she was gonna get passed the force field. then came the report, the reporter was breathless as he announced the apparent deaths of the titans and Batman. Jinx switched the car on autopilot and sat back, tears in her eyes.
"Starfire baby, you...you can't be dead..i need you.." Jinx began to sob then shook her head.
"Hang on baby, I'll go and kill the son of a bitch who did this, then I'm joining you. maybe in the sweet here after, i won't need diapers."
Jinx switched control back to herself and armed the weapons on the T-car.

Raven grunted as thew weight bore down on her. of all the dumb luck, her powers had come back just soon enough to form a shield around her and the other titans. however she lacked the power to free them, as did the other titans. if Beast boy were awake one of his dinosaur forms would free them in no time but he was still in la-la land. despite the stain, Raven worried about her friend. Cyborg seemed to have the pain under control from the shock of losing a arm. He would of blasted though the rumble but the over load had fired a lot of wires, leaving him with limited movement. he was still in better shape than Starfire who's bleeding had slowed down though raven was convinced that the girl was bleeding internally. Beast boy's sleeping form was a bit of a worry too, one that she was planing on checking on asap. batman was groaning but was still out.
"and the worse part is i can sense Robin's pain. he truly believes we're dead and blames himself for it." raven thought.
that wasn't good, with that kind of thinking Robin would let Nightwing kill him. Raven sighed and looked around.
"You guys bring Batman and Beast boy over here and hold their hand sand then place your hands on my legs." Raven instructed.

Robin fell back, a mess of wounds and gasping for air. since taking advantage of his distraction Nightwing had been relentless on his attacks.
Robin leaned against a support beam and watched Nightwing zoom in towards him swinging the steel bar forward so it would crush Robin's throat. at the last second Robin launched himself into the air and fired as fast as he could, letting lose a mess of energy blasts at Nightwings spot as the dark teen embedded the pole in the beam. he wasn't dumb and got the fuck out of there ASAP and locked onto to the light teens location and smiled as Robin fell back down to earth in a predictable course and lined up a shot that would kill the boy.
then he heard a loud honking and turned around in time to see the rear end of the T-car swing towards him and send him flying. Robin landed and looked at the car in shock as jinx lurched out.
"Jinx what are you doing?" Robin asked.
"Why?" She demanded with a angry look even as her eyes filled with tears.
He knew what she was asking.
"I wasn't strong enough. i tried to save them...to save her. you have to belive me!" Robin said.
The T-car exploded before anymore could be said. Robin had grabbed ahold of Jinx and got her out of the way as the wreckage burned and a pissed off looking Nightwing lowered his hand.
"You dumb little whore. I'm going to enjoy killing you slowly."

Robin slowly got up. Jinx was OK, he had taken the brute of the attack and his back was still searing hot from the blast. the T-car burned in front of him as he glared at Nightwing.
"Why? why do you have to kill them?" Robin asked walking forward.
"I'm hate. I'm the most evil parts of you brought to life." Nightwing said with a sneer walking forward.
"So what? I never had any hate for any of them" Robin stated and stood toe to toe with Nightwing.
"wrong. you hated Starfire for breaking your heart. you hated Raven for refusing one of your advantages. you despised Beast boy for keeping Raven to himself when you felt you needed her more. and you've been enough fights with Cyborg to built up a grudge. but mostly." Nightwing paused and laughed then got in Robin's face. "It looked like fun."
Robin nostrils flared and he swung a fist. Nightwing was too fast and hit him in the face with a flat palm sending the boy back. a kick to the mid section had Robin hunched over and Nightwing followed up with slamming his hands over Robin's hands, erupting Robin's ear drums and making the boy scream.
Jinx got up and watched the fight in horror and growling aimed a hex at Nightwing and fired. He mearly grabbed Robin and made the hero take to blast for him, blood flying out of Robin's mouth as Jinx gasped.
"Thanks for the help, but I'm afraid I'll still have to kill you." Nightwing smile with a smile, tossing Robin to the side and walking towards her.
"S-Stay back." Jinx said moving backwards.
"What wrong Jinx? are you scared?" Nightwing whispered.
He dashed forward and grabbed Jinx by the throat and held her above him choking the life from her as her eyes glance around desperate for for a way to save herself. she had blacked out by the time Robin was back up.
"Jinx!"
Robin dashed forward and slammed into Nightwing, knocking jinx free and Nightwing stumbled forward and then turned his attention to Robin.
"You are a real pain in the ass."
he grabbed Robin by the hair and punched him in the face and then slammed his face in the ground.

"Alright, now for those of you awake, calm yourself down as much as possible. we're going to try and give Robin to power he needs to end this once and for all." Raven said.
All of the other titans and Batman nodded and began to breath slowly.
"Alcross....bethen.....Alfron......Yagermoth!"

Up in the the tower, Fate grabbed his head then started to laugh.
"What the...oh man, Fates snapped!" Flash said shaking his head.
"They're alive! The titans1 they're alive!" Fate said taking Super man by the arms and laughing.
"W-what?"
"Raven, she's using a powerful spell! i can sense it! they're alive!"
"Superman, Flash, Fate and Wonder woman, go get into a Javelin and make your way to Jump city. this will be ending soon, and either way i want you down there to help." J'ohn said.
The selected hero's nodded they're heads and took off.

"You look all dirty. let me wash your hair for you." Nightwing said.
he pulled the barely able to move Robin towards a ditch which was filled with rain water and shoved Robin head under the water and held him there. Robin was in no shape to fight back and thrashed around, bubbles escaping to the surface of the water.
"...Maybe...maybe i should just let it end...the others...they're dead....I've got nothing to live for...my friends...my family..." Robin thought weakly as he stopped struggling.
"ROBIN!"
Robin's eyes flew open still under water. that was Raven's voice.
"Thats right, we're not dead! I'm keeping us alive under the rumble, but i can't do it for long! you have to end this and save us!" Raven voice said.
"I...I can't...I'm not strong enough to beat him by myself..." Robin thought back.
"But robin..." It was Starfire's voice this time.
"Haven't you always told us..." Beast boy's voice rang out.
"That when your a Titan, you're never alone?" Cyborg finished.
"go get him son." Bateman's voice said warmly.

Nightwing was holding Robin's head down there still even though he hadn't moved in awhile. he knew how long robin could hold his breath and didn't wanna risk anything. Then Robin started to shake and threw Nightwing off with ease.
"What the.. but you're weak!" Nightwing yelled.
"I can't let the likes of you out into the world." Robin said in a strange voice. it sound like the other titans were talking with him...
Robin burst forward almost to fast to follow but as he moved Nightwing saw the image of Beast boy moving with him.
"No!" Nightwing thought
Robin was under his guard and turned around and kicked Nightwing in the face sending him up into the air as the image of Cyborg did the same.
"NO! their dead!" the dark teen thought.
Robin jumped into the air going after Nightwing as the image of Raven moving with him.
"Not like this!"
Robin was above him now and was going into a arch, bring his leg around to pound into Nightwing with enough force to shatter the mask and Nightwings nose, sending him back into the earth as Raven's image did the same.
Nightwing lay there, beaten and bruise, unable to move as Robin shared a image with the Batman as he landed with both of his feet on Nightwings chest causing the dark side to scream in pain.
"it...it can't end like this..." Nightwing said between gasps of pain.
Robin got off of him and walked over to pick up a cinder block.
"You may hate me right now. but one day, you'll need the power i can give you. One day, you will become Nightwing."
Robin didn't say anything but held the cinder block over Nightwings head.
"One day..." Nightwing promised.
"I'll never be like you." Robin said coldly, and then he dropped the cinder block and didn't flinch as he was covered in blood and brains.
"never."

The field faded as soon as Nightwing was dead, the remains of the body had gone back into Robin making him whole. by the time Superman and the others were there, Jinx had been checked on and he was trying to dig the other out but he had almost no power left. Wonder woman gently pulled him away and made him sit down and talked calmly to him.
"Super man will get them out and then they'll be treated. how are you?" She asked slowly.
Robin looked at her, tears building in his eyes.
"I'm....I'm sorry..." He whispered and fell into her arms, sobbing and crying.
For once, Flash kept his mouth shut and instead was helping Superman to free the titans. Fate was slowly healing Jinx.

It was a week after everything. Robin was staying with batman, being checked up on for just about every thing to make sure Nightwing was truly gone. the Armour was destroyed at Robin request.
Jinx was living in the tower now, her apartment having been toasted and it was better for her and Starfire. both of them were of mixed feeling on how to treat Robin whenever he called, but for the most part they were polite.

They were sitting in their room, curled up with anther.. jinx was in her nighttime diaper and a nightie will Starfire in a pair of shorts and a top.
"I love you." Starfire whispered into Jinx's ear, stoking the girls back.
"For now and for ever." Jinx said back, kissing Starfire's cheek.

Authors note: and thats it. this is by far the biggest story i have every written. it was started back during the summer after a conversion with a friend, and has taken all of this time to finish. it had it's highs and lows, But I'm proud of this story. I hope that all of you enjoyed reading this story as much as i enjoyed writing it. ^_^
