Laurie/ Silk Spectre 2
As a teenager Laurie lays in bed and dreams of meeting Dr. Manhattan, of making him falling in love with her. She dreams of finding out if the blue goes all the way down and if his skin is as soft as it looks.
Laurie dreams of him one day asking for her hand in marriage and pale, pale blue children, as flexible as her with powers like his.
When she's old enough Laurie joins the Watchmen. This was back before Jon lost his humanity and Walter lost his mind. Jon and Daniel fall in love with her, but she only has eyes for the larger than life blue man.
After a few years the novelty starts to wear off and Laurie realizes she fell in love with a dream. She doesn't feel the connection with Jon that she thinks she ought to and starts looking for what she needs elsewhere.
Laurie finds Daniel. They begin an affair and dream that no-one realizes what is really going on on all of their supposed dinners.
Jon ignores it, becoming more and more absorbed in the intricacies of the minor particles of the universe.
Eddie, of course, makes a cruel joke along the lines of "like mother, like daughter." but is hushed by Walter pointing out that it was none of his buisness in a tone of voice that was half threat. Not that he's scared of Walter, no, but there is something not quite screwed on right with that kid that makes Eddie wary.
Adrian is too involved in his own buisness to take notice of hers. If he had noticed he would have shrugged indifferently and filed it away in his mind for possible blackmail material.
As an adult Laurie lays in bed and dreams of one day having Jon and Daniel take her at the same time.
