Chapter 3.
So this is what it has come to.
Terry and his family were missing and it was all his fault.
It didn't even strike Bruce ironic of how history has repeated itself.
First Dick, then Tim and now Terry.
Is he cursed? Is he truly cursed?
Was he damned to lose everybody he cared about?
The list of people that he cared about and lost was a damned clue that he was destined to a life of loneliness and solitude.
First there was his parents, Dick, Alfred, Tim and now Terry.
It seemed that that fates had decreed that he remain without a lover.
Yes, it was true. He truly did harbor feelings for Terry and he had been aware of them since the moment that Terry had broken into his house and stolen the suit in order to avenge his father's death. But all along he hid his feelings in the fear that in admitting them he might drive the young man away, or worse, risk losing him to the list that had been hovering over his head for all these years.
But now it didn't matter he might have already lost the young boy. but Bruce refused to admit defeat.
He was going to go to all lengths to find Terry and rescue him and his family.
Bruce sat at the computer loging into the security cameras that surrounded the 2 Mobsters last known hang-outs.
They were basically ware-houses that wouldn't catch the eye, but former searches proved that the ware-houses were actually a cover for the Mob's drug dealings.
Heroine, cocaine, an numerous new aged drugs were being manufactured in the desolate places and the police either was oblivious or apathatic due to the mob's resources and attorneys that could buy them their freedom after a long dull case.
Bruce spent hours monitering the screens observing mob members enter and leave with no signs or clues to help him.
After a few hours and as dusksettled in Bruce was ready to call it quites and go roam the channels for clues.
As he was about to change the transmition from the surveillance system on one ware-house, a group of battered looking mob members made their way down the street heading towards the ware-house.
Bruce stared intently at the screen and zoomed in to have a look at the mob.
They consisted of a group of very battered, very tired looking individuals whos bodies were completely covered in scars and bruses.
As he looked closely, Bruce instantly recognised the bruises to be that of that Terry could have caused.
Bruce kept looking at screen, not daring to look anywere else.
As the group entered the building the gangsters spoke in a voice that will never leave Bruce.
"Come on guys lets see if the kid will fess up to whom he works for."
Bruce stared hopefully.
Terry was still alive.
To Be continued...
