To Be Found
Chapter 4.
It was pretty obvious. Bruce should have figured it from the start. Yet he didn't.
His worry and concern prevented him from grasping the obvious.
The mobsters knew that there was no way that Terry worked alone and that there had to be another party assisting him. The Original Batman.
Bruce finally saw it as it was.
They were going to keep Terry prisoner until he confessed to whom the second party's identity was.
Him.
Which would mean that Terry was still alive and inside the ware house that he had been monitering.
These were Bruce's thoughts as he gazed at the said building while conversing with Louis Harlem.
He called both mob leaders on the intercoms and told them that he was a drug dealer, sent by Moris Guivand, intrested in perchasing some drugs.
At first, both slime balls were pissed that he had actually managed to communicate with them on the phone, but on hearing the name Moris Guivand both started stuttering with apprehension and terepedation. Considering that Moris Guivand was a powerful Latin drug dealer and they were both completely oblivious that Moris was dead.
Moris had been caught by Batman and then excuted in absolute secrecy by the under ground secret police.
"Yeah sure." replied Louis on the coms. "Just meet us at the ware house."
And here he was.
Speaking face to face, well face to mask. Since Bruce was a highly known character in Gotham he had to go in in disguise.
The artificail tissue that he produced in his lab acted like a mask, disguising his features so well that it was imposible to recognise him and the skin looked so alive that it even imitated human features to a molecular level.
He was also dressed intirely in a black suit with a black shirt and his cane.
Right now he was standing outside the ware house speaking to Louis.
"Welcome." greeted Louis "Let me first say how honored I am to be in business with the legendary Moris Guivand."
"Mr. Guivand sends his hello." replied Bruce through the mask disguising his voice.
"Now I sure you would like a sample of our product and I already have one instored for you, if you'll just follow me."
"Of course." said Bruce as he followed Louis into the huge ware house.
As they entered Bruce quickly took in his surroundings.
The ware house was enormous but barren.
"Where do you keep your equipment? This place is empty." asked Bruce.
"All our machines are down stairs in an undergroung chamber, connected to tunnels and other establishments, in a soundproof room, along with the chemists and body guards. I remain here in case the police or someone comes to inspect the place."
"Arent you worried that if the police was to raid this place you wouldn't be able to warn your people?"
"Oh no. You see my office, over there." said Louis pointing to door across the ware house and the one they were walking to." has an alarm system that can be answered from there that I can use if we found our selves in that predicament."
"I see." replied Bruce, as he scanned around and his attention was caught by a door at the far corner of the ware house.
The door was solid steel with huge dead bolts to keep someone out. Or in.
"Where does that door lead to?" asked Bruce while pointing to the heavy metal door.
"That door leads to a holding room were we keep our not so cooperative guests." replied Louis with a sinester smile."In fact right now we're keeping a very interesting youth with us. Although I can't tell you whom, I can tell you that his abscence from the public will be noticed."
Bruce quickened to that.
"Tell me." said Bruce "Is there any sevallence system up here?"
"Of course. The moniters are in my office, if you'll just come this way." directed Louis as they walked inside his office.
The office was very plain, like every other office, only with a huge desk in the center that had a computer
built into it which was probably logged into the survailence system of the compound.
"IBelive me Mr. Louis I know all about unwanted guests." said Bruce " and if I were you I would have a survalence camera placed on your guests at all time."
"Oh but we do." replied Louis "In fact the cameras are on him now."
And with those words Louis layed face down on the floor unconscious.
Bruce always liked to come prepared and how more prepared than a cane that had a high voltage incapacitater built into it.
He knew that he was getting old and that some day he might find himself incapable of fighting in long conflicts and on Terry's request had had a high voltage incapecitater built into his cane.
And on it's first try it worked magnifecently. Terry was right and Louis could vouch for it.
Speaking of Terry.
After shocking Louis, Bruce walked over to the computer and started browsing the survailence system for Terry.
As he scanned the screens, he suddenly found the holding room of the heavy, metal door that he had witnessed before.
And there he was.
Terry.
Chained to the wall and on the floor, but alive.
Bruce's heart sped up.
Terry was alive.
To Be continued...
