Inheritance

After several long hours, Beast Boy left the OR, and was transported to the ICU. The doctors used several pieces of skin from othe areas on his body to replace the skin that had been blown off. Raven now sat next to him, waiting for him to wake up. His face, beside the mass of scars on his right side, looked so peaceful. Raven used small bits of her magic to decrease the Scars, already making great headway.

Raven was still so confused about what happened.Not the way he tried to kill himself, or way he failed. The doctors said that he must of not had the barrel pointed straight down his throat. It was that horrible aim that saved him. But Raven was still confused about Terra and Beast Boy. Was Terra right and he tried to use her to get to the blond. But if so, why would he kill himself for her. Maybe he was trying to be in a relationship with both. And Raven finding out caused it all to fall apart and lead him to... Or maybe, Terra was lying. If that was so, then Beast Boy really did love her, planed to marry her. And when told him she would...

Raven buried her face in her hands. "This is all my fault. I broke his heart, and he tried to kill himself." Raven began to sob, and soon felt a presence next to her. She looked up and saw Robin. He smiled softly and looked at the sleeping hero.

"I know you two are dating." Raven looked at him. "Well, we weren't supposed to tell anyone." "I know, but he had a reason. He asked me for my blessing to marry you." Raven looked at him. Robin had always been like a surrogate father to her, so it would make sense he would ask the boy wonder for her hand in marriage. "I told him if you said yes, then he'd have it. Three years ago." Raven shot a look at him. "Three years ago? But we were barely dating..." "I know. But he told me even then, he knew. And I know you two have broken up and gotten back together, and broken up and got back together, lather rinse and repeat. But the entire time, he always knew. Even before you two started dating. He knew. He loves you, Raven." Raven stood up and hugged Robin. "Thank you." They held each other for a momment, until a sofrt growl entered thei ears. They turned to Beast Boy to see he was the causer of the noise, despite still being asleep. "Someone's jealous," Robin said, and hugged Raven again. The growl turned into a snarl, and like a cobra, Beast Boy's hand lashed out and grabbed Raven, pulling her close to him on bed. Raven smiled as she snuggled close to the posessive shape-shifter. "Don't worry, I'm yours alone. And I always will be." She placed her hand on Beast Boy's chest, the diamond ring glowing in the dim light.
