To Save You

Beast Boy and Raven got back to the tower late that evening. They both shared sleep heavy eyes as they flopped down in the living room on a couch together. Neither of them bothered to turn on a light or the television, but rather just sat there enjoying each others company in the dark.

"Thank you for the pizza tonight Rae, I really needed it."

"Don't think anything of it," Raven said in an almost hushed whisper. "I was..."

She stopped speaking in mid sentence as looked into Beast Boys eyes. She didn't know what to say. All that was going on between herself and this goofy, green changeling left her lost and confused

"You were just being a good friend, I know I know..." Beast Boy said with a disappointed sigh. He hadn't hoped for much more then just a nice night out for pizza with Raven, but he had entertained some fantasies. He closed his eyes and lightly rested his hand on Ravens leg. He sat up and slid his fingertips down her leg, across her knee and up to hold his hand out to her. "It's getting late, we should be getting our rest.

Raven's entire body felt like it would burst into flames. The way he touched her, whether by accident or intentional set off something inside of her she struggled to regain control of. She felt strangely warm and cold at the same time, and she didn't know what else to do except take his hand.

Beast Boy helped her to her feet and looked at her and desperately wanted to kiss her. The way those eyes seemed to bore into him made his knees weak and his heart race.

Raven stood there looking into those begging eyes and struggled to deny her emotions. She had almost lost control in the pizza parlor, and now the strain was becoming too much. She had prepared for this encounter earlier when she had left Beast Boy alone, but her defenses were beginning to ware thin. She turned her head away so she wouldn't have to look into those eyes anymore.

Beast Boy took this as a cue, and let her hand drop from his. He looked towards the stairs and where his room and bed were waiting for him to slumber. "I guess I'll see you in the morning," Beast Boy said taking a few careful strides towards the stairs. "Good night my Raven." Beast Boy bit his tongue at taking a chance at such a remark.

Raven, if she noticed didn't pay it any heed. "Good night Beast Boy." She waiting until he had walked up the stairs and closed his door before she collapsed to the floor where she had been standing in front of the couch. Her knees had given out long ago and she had been levitating just off the floor. She was loosing control over her emotions, and she didn't know what to do.

As soon as Beast Boy laid his head down on his pillow he was instantly asleep. Dreams of Raven filled his everything thought. His once tortured sleeps full of visions of his death were replaced by fantasies of who he considered to be an angel. She filled his every vision so comfortably and completely that he felt completely at peace for the first time in what seemed like a lifetime. He smiled in his sleep as the warmth of satisfaction overtook him.

"Raven..."he whispered as he rolled over onto his back as he entertained his fantasy. He could almost feel her presence. She felt like she was right there in the room with him.

"Beast Boy..."she said back to him. "Amazing," he thought to himself as he awoke, "It's almost like she is right here with me."

The dark figure standing at the side of his bed did not want to disturb the sleeping Titan, but when he had said her name she thought he had been awake and had found him. Apparently, he was still dreaming. She let go of her levitation and set down lightly onto the floor. She stood close to him, watching the rise and fall of his chest as he slept contentedly. He looked so peaceful to her just now, not the tortured soul that had been moping around the tower as of late. He seemed to be happy and content lying in bed dreaming of her.

Beast Boy was awake now, and could hear the faint breathing next to him. Or did he? It might just be his imagination and he might still really be asleep. He kept his eyes closed and his breathing steady. He hadn't heard anyone come in, but as seconds turned to minutes, he was certain that he was awake and someone was standing over him. He nearly jumped out of his skin when a soft hand caressed his cheek.

Raven stroked his cheek gently with the back of her hand not wanting to wake the sleeping Titan. "Whatever it takes Beast Boy," she said quietly, "I will save you..."

Beast Boys heart leapt into his throat at hearing speak so caringly. He couldn't hold back the tear that escaped his eye and rolled down his cheek. Raven wiped it away from his face before she even realized that he was awake and had been listening to what she had said. "Raven," Beast Boy thought to himself, "I love you."

Raven realized that Beast Boy was no longer asleep just in time to have herself be wrapped in the embrace of the now sitting changeling. He pulled her down to a sitting position on the edge of his bed and kissed her passionately on her lips. "They are soft and warm," Beast boy thought to himself as he reveled in the moment. "Just as I knew they would be."

Raven closed her eyes and reveled in what she knew to be ecstasy rising within her. She felt like she was melting into him and his embrace as they kissed. Then, just like that the kiss was over. Beast Boy pulled away from her and opened his eyes to look into hers. "Raven..." Beast boy said pulling back her hood and running a hand through her short silky hair.

Raven didn't know how to react. She still had her eyes closed and she knew he was staring at her. She opened her eyes slowly as she got her emotions back under control. She nearly lost them again as she gazed into those sparkling eyes again.

"Raven," Beast Boy started, "I wanted to tell you..." He stopped and took a deep breath and made strong eye contact with his angel. "I love you."

Time itself seemed to stand still for Raven as Beast Boy finally confessed his love for her. The heart that beat within her chest burned red hot like a coal from a stoked fire. All thoughts of control over her emotions fled her body at those three words, and passion engulfed her. She threw herself back onto Beast Boy as she lost control of herself and started to kiss him passionately again.

Beast Boy wrapped her in a tight embrace and rolled her on top of him in a passionate hug and kiss, letting her weight pin him on his back to his bed. He let her lithe body cover and warm him.

She sat upright on top of him, breaking his hold and shed her leotard down to her waist giving Beast Boy, even in the dim lighting, a nice view of her naked breasts. He tore his eyes away from her naked chest to look into her face once again. Her facial features hadn't changed, but her eyes gave way to what was really going on inside of her head. Her eyes said it all to him.

She slid her hands down his chest before stripping him to a most vulnerable and naked form. Beast Boys mind raced with lust and passion as she completed stripping herself down and lying atop of him. She was warm, and smelled of heaven Beast Boy decided, and she was finally going to be his.

As Raven lied atop him, she whispered into his pointy, green ear. Beast Boy smiled as the words easily fell crossed her lips. He pulled her back, kissed her passionately again and replied, "I love you too."
