Twisting The Knife
CHAPTER FIVE: TWISTING THE KNIFE
FINALLY Batman had unearthed a lead. Jet had - as required - left a forwarding address with the prison authorities on her release. And yes, a probation officer had visited her there just seven days ago.
The Caped Crusader brushed past the security guard in the apartment block, ran up the stairs and hammered his fists on the third-floor penthouse flat.
Nothing stirred. He tried the handle and to his amazement fround it open. Inside was a large entrance hall with doors off to the left and right. A thick plush carpet lined the floor and there were expensive-looking ornaments carefully arranged on shelves on the walls. He listened carefully but could hear nothing.
Slowly he twisted the handle of the first door and threw it open before stepping in his body tensed for any danger.
The sight that greeted him stopped him in his tracks. The room was devoid of furniture save for a coffee table in the centre. But the walls were plastered with life-size pictures of Robin and a grinning Jet in the skimpiest of Lycra outfits.
The Boy Wonder was depicted in various states of distress. In one he was lying at the dark-haired villainesses feet in obvious pain. Another showed him tethered by his arms to two rings hanging on chains from a ceiling. In a third he was in the same position with his tunic pulled open to expose his chest. Then he was shown with his trunks pulled down over his knees and his cock hanging limply between his legs with come dripping from it.
Batman's mouth clamped shut in horror as his eyes scanned the images.
Suddenly his thoughts were broken by a faint clicking sound and a mocking female laugh.
"Too late Batman," Jet's voice taunted. "I found somewhere better for me and Robin to indulge in our games together. But I thought I'd leave you a record of our time together so far. Exciting don't you think?
"Oh, by the way - you'd better hurry if you want to find us. I don't think your little boy can take much more of me."
Batman whirled round to try to discover where the words were coming from and caught sight of the two speakers fixed to the ceiling in the corner of the room.
Desperately he dashed out into the corridor but Jet's voice seemed to follow him.
"Poor Batman," her mocking commentary continued. "Are you feeling the strain? The strain of knowing you're a miserable failure? A creature fit only to lick Jet's boots. Well don't worry my pet. Very soon it'll be your turn to experience my exquisite attentions. Just as soon as I've finished with Robin that is."
Her exultant laughter echoed round the flat as Batman flung open one door after another only to find all the remaining rooms empty. He leant back against a wall panting heavily as the sound gradually subsided leaving a heavy silence.
The Caped Crusader finally regained his composure and walked slowly back into the room he'd just left. It felt like Jet's eyes were taunting him from every angle as he again scanned the horrific pictures. It was only then he noticed the card lying on top of the table.
Reluctantly he picked it up and immediately recognised the writing from the previous envelope: To My One And Only Bat.
He tore it apart and dragged the card out. As he imagined Jet's beaming face grinned out at him as she posed with her fingers hooked arrogantly into Robin's utility belt slung around her waist.
Inside the message read:
"So sorry I couldn't wait my sweet.
Robin needed to play.
But it won't be long now.
For either of you.
XXXX
Mistress Jet."
Batman flung the card down on the ground his face a mask of fury. He took one last look at the pictures adorning the walls and then turned and angrily stalked out of the room.
