Cup of Tea
Beast Boy awoke the next morning to find Raven sleeping soundly in bed next to him. She breathed deeply in contented slumber as the first rays of morning sunshine began to filter through his blinds into his room. Beast Boy yawned and started to stretch but noticed that Raven's arm was still draped lovingly across his waist. He carefully picked her arm up and gently set it down next to her.
He slid his legs off the side of the bed and stretched his hands towards the ceiling. The yawn came again as he stood stretching in the lightening room. He looked back at his still sleep lover, still naked from the previous nights escapades. A smile crossed his face as he remembered the wonderful night he had just spent with the women of his dreams. How he adored her.
Beast Boy with an eye always on his sleeping angel quickly dressed and headed for the door deciding that it might be best to let her get some much needed rest. He paused at the door and looked over his shoulder at the half naked visage of his sleeping Raven. He turned around and walked back to her and pulled the blanket up over her naked body and kissed her softly before he walked contentedly from his room down the stairs to get some breakfast ready.
Apparently it was later in the day then Beast Boy guessed, because everyone else was already downstairs going about his or her business. Robin sat in a chair with a bowl of cereal in his lap, Cyborg was in the kitchen cooking waffles and Starfire was busy questioning him about something or other.
Starfire was the first to notice the green Titan come walking down the stairs. She noticed that he was walking with a slight bounce in his step and a wide grin on his face. Nothing would have been unusual about that, if he hadn't the day before claimed to have already been dead and had foreseen his own death. Tears immediately began to form at the edge of her eyes.
Beast Boy didn't seem to notice as he stood at the stairs landing stretching and yawning.
"Heads up BB!" he heard the metal Titan holler at him as Cyborg let loose with a flying waffle missile. Beast Boy transformed into a dog and jumped into the air and caught it. He turned back into his normal form with a waffle hanging from his mouth. He pulled it out and hollered back, "How about throwing me some butter and syrup too while your at it?" Cyborg laughed and went back to making his waffles.
Beast Boy tore a chunk from the dry waffled breakfast treat as he walked past Robin into the kitchen to prepare some real breakfast. He opened up the fridge and found some left over cheese pizza from about a week ago that made him want to gag. He shoved that aside and grabbed a packaged cup of applesauce. He tore the lid from the container and took a spoon from the drawer and started eating.
"Cinnimon-y," he said aloud with a little chuckle.
Starfire looked from the indifferent Robin to the busy Cyborg and back to the happily eating Beast Boy. Her brain was racing with questions, but she didn't want to create a situation so she thought of a better topic."
"Where's friend Raven?" Starfire asked out loud to no one in particular. "She should be partaking in the breaking fast ritual! I shall go get her." Starfire walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs towards Raven's room. It didn't register inside Beast Boys brain right away that she wouldn't find her there, so he went about his business in the kitchen. He opened up a cabinet and saw a box of green tea bags sitting on a low shelf. "Maybe I should take her a cup of..." Mid sentence he dropped his spoon onto the floor in shock. Star wasn't going to find Raven in her room.
Beast Boy didn't know why this startled him so. It shouldn't bother him to have people know that he and Raven were now an item. He shrugged off the idea and took the box of tea bags off the shelf and took one out. He put the box back and went to the stove and started to heat some water in a kettle.
Starfire came back down the stairs in a hurry shortly after and started to say, "Friend Raven is not..." but she was cut off by Beast Boy who nonchalantly interrupted her. "She's meditating right now and doesn't want to be bother Star." Everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and fixed their attention on Beast Boy. He was standing near the stove with a tea bag in one hand in a dark mug in the other. Robin was the one who started the line of questioning.
"So when is she going to be down then?" Robin said through slatted eyes.
Beast Boy just shrugged his shoulders at having gotten himself into a conversation he didn't want to be in and wanting to end the line of questioning he knew was now inevitable.
"Well, if you know what she's doing you know where she is don't you?" Robin continued. "I wanted to ask her something important, so can you tell me where she is?"
Robin had left him little room for lying. He hadn't decided whether or not it was right to tell the rest of the Titans about him and Raven, and he was sure that he didn't want to do it this way. While he mulled over whether or not to answer truthfully, Raven walked herself lightly down the stairs. She looked at Beast Boy with more then a shimmer of love hidden within the cool pools of her eyes.
Smiling inwardly, Beast Boy gestured with his hand behind Robin,
