Sunset
The note Beast Boy found later in his room had left no room for argument with himself or anyone else. If Raven wanted to talk to him on the roof, then he would go to the roof. The sun had not yet set, but was low on the horizon.
Raven was there waiting quietly meditating. She sat cross-legged levitating with her eyes firmly shut. Beast Boy came out of the narrow stairway that led to the roof and stood smelling the clean air the wind brought across the choppy water far down below. He quickly picked out Raven's dark silhouette against the setting sun.
Beast Boy approached Raven cautiously, trying his best not to startle her. He sat down quietly with his legs extended in front of him as Raven slowly drifted down to the ground where she remained cross legged. She opened her eyes that greeted Beast Boy warmly.
"We need to talk," Raven started hesitating, "about many things."
"What do we need to talk about?" Beast Boy grinned as only he could, wide tooth and innocent. It was that look that made Raven want to giggle like a schoolgirl.
Raven composed herself and continued,
