What the Future Holds
Chapter one.
"Terry?! Terry what's happening?"
Over and over Bruce tried to communicate with Terry, on the communication grid on his computer, with no progress. The coms were completeley down and he had no idea were Terry was.
Terry had been patroling out in Mob territory, seeking any kind of clue as to what the Mob was planning since the last time Terry caught them and handed them in to the police, when all of a sudden a huge blast accured rendering Terry bruised and unconscious and the communications coms down.
Bruce feared the worst.
The Mob members that Terry had apprehended last time he was in this terretory weren't the normal kind of runts that were a simple catch. They had been the primary leaders of 2 major Mobs that delt with the illegal international distribute of drugs and firearms and they were very powerful, very wanted men with very powerful connections, the same connections that had bought them their freedom out of 2 death sentences each, only a week ago.
Bruce feared that the Mob leaders had been planning a vendeta against the city that had tried it's damnest to prosecute them.
At first he assumed that a vendeta would be taken against Batman for him apprehending them, but after a week of null Mob activity both he and Terry had foolishly dropped their gaurds and now Terry was paying for his carelessness.
Tery was set up.
The Gang members had been stalking the alleyways just waiting for Terry to show up so they could jump him.
After 5 minutes of no radio contact, Bruce loged into the vital signs located in the suit linked into the computer and found nothing. Nothing was being emminated from the suit. No breath intakes. No blood pressure. No pulse.
Thoroughly concerned, Bruce rushed out of the mansion (as fast as his 70-year old body could take him) along with Ace, into his car and sped towards Terry's last known destination.
Upon reaching the premise, he parked his car quickly, got out along with Ace, and started looking.
The alley looked like a complete war zone. There were laser shots everywere, large craters in the ground and most frighteningly; blood.
Lots of blood.
It was everywere: on the walls, on the ground, and on garbage bins.
Suddenly there came a long howling bark from somewere deep in the alley. It was Ace. And from the sound of it it seemed like he found something.
Following Ace's barks, Bruce came onto the most terrifying scene.
There deep in the alley, on the ground was a black, blood soaked form. On closer inspection it turned out to be the bat suit; bloody, torn and dismantelled with no sign of Terry.
Terry was missing.
To Be Continued...
