My LETHAL PROBLEM

Wally weakly shifted his legs over the edge of the bed. Everything was sore like he had been running around the world for days. The bare room was dark, holding the shadows and evils closer to him. His body tensed as he moved to get up but a firm hand deathly gripped his wrist stopping him. Wide green eyes looked back to the still form of the man next to him.
“Where do you think you are going?”
Wally stuttered on the words for a minute. He moved trying to get his hand back from the iron grip.
“I was- I have to go.”
“No.”
“I really have to go.”
The grip tightened beyond what Wally thought was possible. A small yelp escaped, as the still form moved into a sitting position and pulled the young man down forcefully.
“I said no!”
“Lex.”
The man’s lips crushed into the smaller young man as Wally’s back hit the bed slightly bouncing. The hand’s roaming Wally’s chest was strong and harsh against his skin. Just before the need of air almost suffocated him, Lex pulled away.
“LEX, please…”
The only response and warning that Wally received was the soft whisper of “Wait” before Lex’s teeth sank deep into Wally’s shoulder. After a few minutes Lex slid off the bed grabbing his robe.
“A little parting gift… “
Wally struggled to get up his hand messaging the area that the villain had bit into. If he didn’t play the next couple of days just right, one league members would see his ‘gift’.
“I’ll call you when you need to come.”
“I’ll be on call for the next five days.”
The partially clothed man crossed the large bedroom quicker than the young man thought possible. Lex gripped the red head, shoving him into the nearest wall.
“You’ll come when I say, come. WALLY!” The villain leaned into Wally’s ear as he hissed out the command.
“Now leave, hero. I have guest coming that might not take well to you.”
Wally didn’t waste time by looking back as he left the penthouse, pulling his clothes on. At street level Wally waved hoping to hail any taxi amongst the busy city street. Minutes later a yellow cab pulled up along the street as he received the connection to the Watchtower.
“Wally.”
“You’re not at your apartment.” Green Lantern barked over the comm.
Wally rubbed his face as he gave the driver directions. He didn’t ride in taxis often and tonight he just didn’t have the energy to be ‘flash’ with the fresh memories of Lex tainting him and his costume.
“Yeah, I was at a 'friend’s' house.”
“Where? I’ll pick you up.”
“No that’s okay. I’m on my way back. Be there in a few minutes. Are the transporters still not working?”
Wally was watching the street lights as they passed, missing the strange look from the taxi driver. Not many people outside of sci- fi conventions openly talked about those ‘fictional items’ like he was, but he really was to tired to care.
“Yeah, yeah they’ve been a real pain in the ass for Batman to fix. J’onn even tired to help out before getting called out to Yvette’s* planet.”
The cab pulled off main to a side street that had his apartment building.
“I’m pullin’ in,… be up in a minute.”
“Pulling in? You got a ride?”
“umm… yeah.”
Wally could hear John’s scowl of confusion through the link. The young red hair paid the smirking driver before making the long haul up his buildings steps.
“So why did you take a taxi, hotshot?”
Wally looked up the flight of stairs seeing John in street clothes setting at the top. His hands clasped together, a display of all his reserve to not jump into an interrogation with the younger hero.
“Haven’t felt well…”
“What hasn’t felt well?”
The ex-marine wasn’t going back down; causing Wally’s muscle’s to tense. Too much was at stake for him to tell John anything about his situation with Lex. A lie was all Wally could use for now and hope he could fix later.
“When I use my powers-“
“Wally!” John quickly jumped to his feet and down a few steps simultaneously.
“This is serious; we need to get you back to the watchtower. Hopefully J’onn can come back soon enough to get you checked out.”
“No that’s okay. I think I just need to rest but let J’onn finish his mission.”
“This isn’t something to just push off Wally.”
“I know. But I can tell it’s not that serious. Just let me rest for a few days then I’ll take the next shift okay?”
There was something in John’s eyes that didn’t want to take Wally’s words and instead rush him to the nearest hospital. But the look passed with a slight nod and signaling the conversation was over.
The Javelin had been “parked’ in the park of dead grass behind the apartments surrounded by tall trees on all sides. The trip was silent and within the hour both men stepped off ramp heading in separate directions without a word.

Author’s note:
Yvette planet- this is just a made up name. It’s really late and my brain is fried. Sorry, I can fix it if any really want it changed.
