One last stand

It wasn't easy being a roaming spirit these days. Yawgy, or Yawgaroth as he preferred to be called, was once a mighty Magi. Then he had a run in with the titans, where he tried to kill a powerless Raven. The gods had not been on his side, and he was thrown into a spirit seal he had created for Ravens soul. Being a living person in a dimension meant for spirits wasn't a pleasant experience. He had managed to break out of there with the help of his student, Gary. Gary had tapped into the power of the staff of Merlin and was nearly a god. Yawgy's body was failing him fast so he had transferred himself into the body of Raven's boyfriend, Beast Boy. With Gary's god like powers it seemed that victory was on his side again, but instead he fell at the hands of the titans once again. His spirit form was weak and he found himself trapped on the mortal plane, but unable to take over anyones body to take his revenge on the titans. So he floated and waited, knowing that sooner or later, someone some where would make a mistake and he would come back....and when he did, he would see the titans defeated once and for all.

Jinx walked down the halls at the Hive Five head quarters humming to herself. The teams latest robbery had netted her a spell book which was suppose to contain spells for boosting ones power. She made it back to her room, jumped on the bed and began to flip though the pages of the book. She wanted a mega power surge, not just a little girly one. She found one that sounded promising. It invoked the spirits of dead spell masters to lend their powers to her. The page containing the spell was torn at the bottom but all of the spell seemed to be there, so Jinx didn't worry about it. She then drew a star on her floor and lit five black candles and put them on the points of the star before turning the light out in her room and sat in the middle of the star. She began to chant lightly as a white mist started to surround her.

Raven was on a frantic search for the Hive. The others didn't know what she knew, that a very powerful book was in the book store the hive had robbed. She didn't have the time to stop and explain why she was so franitc. Beast Boy was with her thought, keeping up in his hawk form with her as she used her powers to seek out the book. She was hoping to stop Jinx before she could use it. Robin and the other titans were seeing Billy Numourous and Gizmo to jail. while they hadn't been able to stop Kid Wickness, Jinx, Seemore or Mammoth they had nabbed the other two. Raven stopped and sighed as she went around the same block for the fitfh time.
"It's here. somewhere. I just can't narrow in on it." She said.
Beast boy landed beside her and changed back to human.
"Thats nice. but what's 'It'? You still haven't told me what we're looking for." the green teen said.
"A book, a very powerful spell book that can boost the power of a witch to very high levels." Raven said as they walked down the street. She was getting weird looks from people as her hands glowed as she tried in vain to close in on Jinx.
"Thats bad. A pumped up Jinx would be very bad." Beast Boy said.
"It gets worse, those spells aren't just for anyone. If she messes up then it's very possible that a portal to hell could open up." Beast boy stopped in his tracks and stared at Raven wide eyed.
"Hell, as in Hades? As in fire and brimstone? As in the big red guy? As in the fallen angel coming out?" He said. Raven nodded her head.
"This is bad, VERY bad." Was all beast boy said before turning into a blood hound and tried to pick up on the Hive's scent.

Yawgoth felt the pull and smiled, some young fool was trying to boost their power. He flew in the direction of the pull and zoomed past other spirts who were fighting to stay in the land of the dead and didn't like being brought into the mortal plane. He zoomed around Jinx and his ghostly lips formed a smile. She wasn't wearing a ruby necklace to protect herself. None of the other spirts had been fully drained into her yet, but she was already much more powerful than before. Not wanting someone else to realize the mistake she had made, Yawgoth plunged right into Jinx's chest knocking her out of the star and almost knocking a candle over. She gasped as he formed himself inside of her, taking control of her. The spell did indeed let a person feed off the powers of the dead, but lowered your resistanace to being taken over by the dead to the point were even a infant spirit could do it. Hence why you are supposed to wear a ruby neaklace which would ward off spirits who would try and take over your body. Within seconds he had full control of Jinx and ignored her mind as it demanded to know what was going on. He was quite skilled at controlling people after his stay in Beast Boys body. He stood up and stretched, then he turned on the lights, put the spell book away and blew out the candles. He caught his reflection in a mirror and stopped to admire his new body.
"Maybe what I've been lacking all this time was a womans touch." Yawgoth said in Jinx's voice, and then she started to laugh before heading out to meet 'her' team mates.
'They shall serve as excellent sacrifices for my soldiers." She thought aloud.

Beast Boy finally picked up on Mammoth scent and lead Raven to a phone booth. He changed back to human as she looked it over. There was a simple phone in the booth, and when she picked up the receiver, all she got was a dial tone.
"Must have to dial a certain number." Beast Boy said.
"Yeah, but with this phone being used so much it would be impossible to figure out the number just by dusting it." Raven said. Beast Boy bit his lip, then smirked and pulled out a quarter and put it in the phone and pushed the re-dial button.
"Now why didn't I think of that?" Raven said with a smile as they both disappeared into the ground and sped towards the Hive's base.

Mammoth came over to Jinx with a worried look on his face as soon as she entered the room.
"Jinx, the titans tracked us! And without Gizmo, I have no freaking idea how to work the base's defences." Jinx gave a little laugh which made Mammoth mad. This didn't seem very funny to him.
"The titans are the least of your problems." she said in a silky voice, then Mammoth noticed that Jinx's eyes were blood red.
"What the.."
Jinx's hand was pressed againt his chest and in a instant Mammoth found himself unable to move. As KW and Seemore turned to her and saw what she had done they froze, a bad mistake. She whipped two hexes at them that froze them in place, and sticking her index fngers out and putting her hands together, she started to mutter some words which none of the boys could hear. The effects of the words came quick enough as three black orbs came out of her mouth and flew toward each of the guys and slipped into them. A few seconds afterwards, three white orbs came out of the guys bodies and went into Jinxs' mouth as each of the male Hive members began to morph. Mammoth's body slowly became lizard like, and he grew horns. His skin was a ruby red, as the body began to swell with new muscles, Mammoths clothes ripped off of him. The feet changed and ripped out of the shoes as the skin became red and scaly and the toes became three big ones with wicked claws at the end of them. A tail ripped out of Mammoths backside and waved back and forth as he moved away from the spot.
Seemores visor dissapepred as his hair turned into black flames. He grew taller and developed some muscle, the uniform he had been wearing tore to pieces. Once the change was compleate he too moved away from the spot. KWs change was quick as he simply became an averaged hieght slightly tanned white man with a very developed body. As with the other two his clothes had been shredded off of him. These three were the loyal minions of Yawagoth. The dragon breed Ruby, The master of black hellfire, Blaze. and finally the ever faithful Ninja. They had become his warroris long ago when he had created them and he kept their souls within his own being. What he had just done was swap the souls of the Hive members for the souls of his own soldiers. With another quick spell, all of them were in their proper attire. Ninja in a black ninja outfit, Blaze in green cargo pants and a black beater, and Ruby in blue cut offs and a black leather vest.
"Welocme back from the dead." Yawgoth said to them. His three warriors turned to him confused at his female form.
"Master?" Ruby asked.
"I understand your confusion, lets just say this was the best I could do on short notice. Now two of the titans are about to make their way down here. Let's give them a warm welocme." Yawagoths soldiers smiled as they waited. Each had they're own vengance to extract on the titans.

Raven shook and fell to her knees. Before Beast Boy could ask her what was wrong she blasted the top off of the booth and and grabbed Beast Boy and flew them up the empty tunnel as the booth made it's way down to the Hive base. Once they were on the surface Raven put Beast Boy down and fell to her knees shaking.
"Raven, whats wrong?" Beast Boy asked as he kneeled beside her and put a arm around her.
"H-he's back." She said shivering. Beast Boys eyes narrowed. There were only two people in the world who could scare Raven like this.
"Is it...Trigon?" Beast Boy asked. Raven shook her head and Beast Boy felt a moment of fear himself. Not him, not the bastard that had used him to hurt his own friends, played him like a puppet...
"Yawgy is back!"
