Leonardo’s heart always hammered hard when he snuck out of the lair. He feared getting caught, revealing his whereabouts, being shamed before them all.
If he were the perfect son his brothers claimed him to be, then he would’ve stopped this before it started, yet he hasn’t; he can’t anymore
Donning his trench coat and hat he emerged from the sewers and headed for Central Park.

Leonardo sat nervously on the grass. The night air was pleasant and the scent of freshly cut grass filled his nostrils, but he couldn’t really enjoy as he sat there waiting. He let out a breath and meditated, regaining his focus, because he knew he’d be in need of it soon. Maybe this time, he’ll find it in him to resist.
Like a flash of quicksilver his katana emerged from its sheath to block the sudden strike. He twisted out of his meditative pose and faced his opponent.
Karai’s eyes glittered in the waning light. “You’re late.” She murmured before striking again.
Leonardo said nothing as the fight began. Now he was in his element; his heartbeat steadied and his calm returned as his hands easily guided his blade to block and strike back.
This fight continued for a near hour, a familiar tension soon brewing between them. Leonardo felt the knot in his stomach tighten, waiting to see who will inflict the first pain. It was inevitable and he could see the resistance in Karai’s eyes. Knowing that the same resistance will be in his also. To yield would bring shame to them both and for honor-bound warriors like themselves it was unthinkable.
Scrape! Her katana connected with his chest, scraping his plastron and adding a new dent to his growing collection. Stung to anger, he knocked her off her feet and pinned her down.
“No!” Karai protested with clenched teeth and lunged against him. She gained the upper hand only briefly as Leonardo used his greater strength to roll her back down on the grass.
They grappled with each other, his blunt fingers tightening on her shoulders and her nails sinking into his sweaty, muscular arms.
“Karai!” Leo growled, determined to win this match. Their heads connected briefly and he shivered when their cheeks brushed. It was all they needed.
“This is wrong.” Karai whispered before their lips finally connected.
Shame and desire, fueled with adrenaline mingled. ‘So wrong,’ He agreed mentally as he sank his fingers in her damp, silky hair and deepened the kiss.
The weeks of frustration broke loose as their limbs tangled, seeking the other’s flesh in order to satisfy their shameful cravings.
They drew apart only to discard their meager clothing. Whatever disgrace they felt burning out in the flames of their mutual needs.
Their calloused hands caressed sweaty flesh. They didn’t need to say anything; they knew the other’s thoughts. Their lips never parted as he sheathed himself deeply within her. Her legs wrapped around him, holding him possessively against her as they made love.
Their loving was never gentle, but harsh and greedy, bodies always trembling, yielding to their darkest passions. The unyielding smoothness of his chest thrilled her. The incredible softness of her skin aroused him. Despite being in open air the scent of sex was heavy, along with the salt of sweat.
“More.” Karai whispered, her hips grinding against his to push his thick cock deeper. Her hands clung to his hips, pushing him harder, shameless in her want of him.
Leonardo buried his face against her throat and growled. She let out the softest, sexiest moans into his ear and the feel of her moist and tight around him stripped him of his reason. “Yes…” He hissed.
The pleasure grew, they shuddered helplessly and with mutual cries they clasped each other desperately as their tightly held control shattered and their vulnerable souls became one.
They gasped softly for air as they looked at each other. For that moment they forgot their duties and thought only of themselves. Their bodies had mingled, their souls touched and as they lay side by side in each other’s arms, they knew peace.
‘Hopeless.’ Leonardo thought as he caressed her back soothingly. ‘Why do I even try?’
After a while Karai reluctantly sat up from their embrace. “Leonardo.” She whispered, her index finger touching his lips.
He kissed the slender digit before replying. “I know. I have to go too.”
Slowly they put their clothes on, guilt already tugging at the edge of their conscious. Before it could take over they embraced and kissed once more. One more moment of happiness before their earlier commitments reminded them of the shame and dishonor they had just reveled in.
They soon parted ways and Leonardo’s insides gnawed at him. It wasn’t fair, not to either of them. To be only able to steal these brief moments from the world when they both wanted so much more. Worse, the knowledge that the next they meet it will likely be in their roles as enemies.
It was frustrating to nurse their love in secret, but neither one dared contemplate the latter.
