Final
It was a long walk back to the tower for the titans. They had tried flying with Starfire carring Cyborg and Robin, while Beast Boy carried Raven. But Raven had thrown a fit, and started to wail. So, they drew a few stares, as they walked down to a bus stop covered in bruises, and carrying an unconsince John, and Raven in her sleeper. Beast Boy was in his gorilla form, and was carrying Raven. He was too weak in his human form to carry her far, and she found this form funny. He also wouldn't let Cyborg or Starfire carry Raven. There were a few people at the bus stop, and they stared at the titans, as they waited for Bus 63.
It turned out, in the end, they didn't need to take the bus, as a police car drove by and spotting the titans. He offered as many of them as they could fit a ride. Starfire and Cyborg opted to go back to the tower, and she carried the tin man away. They had only stayed before, because of their worry for not only Raven, but Beast Boy. Robin set John in the back of the squad car, but was forced to sit up front, as Beast Boy wouldn't be able to fit with Raven in the front seat.
Beast Boy resumed his human form, and set Raven on his lap, before closing the door. Raven looked around the car with a child's wonder, and smiled like a goof when they started to drive. "Caw wide!" She said happily, clapping her hands. Beast Boy looked down and met her face with a forced smile.
"Yea, car ride."
John's trial was quick. Once he was captured, it seemed that hundreds of prisoners had dirt on him that they were willing to let known, in order to shorten their own sentence. He was given the death sentence, and considering how dangerous he was, the sentence was carried out post-haste. He met his death with a sick grin, and his last words, before the lethal injection, were that he was going to see his baby again... Beast Boy watched John's execution with a cold satisfation.
The first few days after her rescue, life at the tower was interesting. Beast Boy had started sleeping in the bed with raven, mostly because she tossed and turned too much in her sleep, and ended up rolling herself out of her bed. The first time it had happen, it had taken a good hour to calm her down.
She had to be fed, which was a messy affair, and Cyborg had quickly built a high chair for Raven. She sat by the tv, watching kids shows, always playing with her stuffed bunny. They had tried taking her out of diapers, but it hadn't taken many accidents to make it clear that she needed them.
Of course, as bad things were, they had their cute moments too. Starfire had gotten Raven some blocks, but noticed that Raven was almost constantly sucking on her thumb, which left her with one hand to play with, but she wanted both her hands and got frusterated very quickly. The solution came when Starfire brought Raven a large black pacifier, and the dark witch now suckled on it constantly, only letting it be removed for eatting.
The titans were baffled on how to treat Raven. John had refused to let them know anything about what he had done to her, and she was barely able to speak now. They had gone through his house, but discovered that all of his databases had been encoded with a progam that demanded a password entered into it's core every 6 hours, or it would wipe itself and shut down power in the house. By the time they had come back, all of the formula that contained the chemical that had done this to Raven had gone bad, and Robin couldn't learn anything from it. Batman had taken a sample, and promised that he, the Martian Man Hunter and the Atom would try to figure it out. With three of the Justice league's best minds at work, Robin hoped that it would be enough.
Beast boy was awoken when Raven sat up suddenly in her bed. He shook his head and tried to look at her, but it was dark in the room, and his eyes needed a second to adjust. He sat up, and put an arm around her. "What's wrong Rae-Rae?" He asked slowly. She had taken to being called by her nickname, and would only respond to that, rather than Raven. Beast Boy could hear her sniffling, and as his eyes adjusted, he could make out tears on her face as she suckled on her pacfier. He brought her head onto his chest, and rubbed her back. "Shhhh, it's ok." He said gently.
He then felt something drop down onto the blanket. "Beast oy...beats roy...Beast boy." Raven's talk started out babyish, but slowly became more and more understandable as she repeated his name. Beast Boy's eyes widened, and he pulled her away from his chest, and looked her in the face. The blank bay look was gone. "I...was too out of it...before too purge myself...of stuff that da-da..that daddy...that John put in me." She switched from speaking fast to slowly, as if she was scared that speaking fast would send her mind back into babyhood. Beast boy knew that Raven was capable of self-healing. She had done so after the attack from Adonis.
"Then..then you're going to be ok?" He asked. He was scared. Scared that this was a dream, that when he woke up Raven would still be trapped under a dead madman's influence.
"Beast Boy..I'm a long way from ok...but, I will get...better." They caught each other in a crushing hug, as the both cried tears of joy.
Life still wasn't easy for Raven. Her sense of balance was off and she could walk, but had a bad habit of falling. She also wore the pacfier Starfire had given her around her neck, as she had gotten used to using the paci to calm herself down. Her powers were back, and better than ever, which she proved quickly enough, when Cyborg had made a remark about her looking so cute suckling on her paci, after falling on her butt during a walking lesson. As the tin man flew out the window and into the river, he pondered if baby Raven wasn't easier to put up with.
Raven was potty-trained again with her first day back.. kind of. She still had her deadly fear of toilets, and didn't think she would ever get rid of it. She had perfected a meathod of sneaking out of the tower, and going to a pit she had dug on Titan Island and relieving herself there. She had a stash of Toilet paper there, in a rainproof container, and so far had lucked out that all of their rain storms had been short. She made a mental note from the stench building up from her pit, that she would have to bury it soon and start a new one as she finished her latest 'business.' That was when Robin came over and caught her, wondering where the stench was coming from, that was interferring with his morning training.
"Raven?" He asked, eyes wide. Raven looked up, surprised, and blushed deep red.
"Would you believe me if I said 'no'?" She asked hopefully.
She had a long talk with the others, explaining why she was doing this. She had to agree with them that since they all lived here, she should have brought this up with them before digging the pit. She was told that she would have to dispose of the soiled earth, and bring in more and replant the grass. Then they sat down, and tried to figure out a solution that didn't involve Raven watering the flowers, or fertilizing the ground. Starfire came up with the only reasonable solution, and they put it to a vote. At a vote of four for the plan, and 1 againt it, Raven groaned and let Beast Boy take her back to her room to be diapered.
"But I just got out of diapers!" Raven whined.
"At least you don't have to act like a baby." Beast boy said, trying to comfort her. "Besides, lots of people have to wear diapers, so it won't be that bad."
"Yes, but none of them are superheroins that have a tight-fitting uniform." Raven grumbled.
The tabloids tried to make a big deal out of it, and made up serveral stories, just to make news until Robin hired some very high priced lawyers to keep the tabloids at bay. Raven looked over the latest story with a laugh, and started to read it for the other titans. Now that Robin was shutting them up, she actually could find humor in these stories.
"Press agents for pampers have let us know that they are trying to sign the diapered teen hero, Raven, as their spokeperson for their new line of products for teenagers. It is unknown yet if she will accept, as she has tried to claim many times that her diapered state is merely the result of the run-in with the now-dead convict John Smith. But inside sources that deal with the titans have revealed that there is a high chair stored at Titan's Tower, and that Raven is known to wear a pacifier around her neck while at home, and suckle on it when distressed. The spokesman for pampers is quoted as saying "such cute behavior is exactly what they want for their new line up." One can only hope that if Raven accepts this deal with pampers, she won't embarass the Teen Titans any more than she already has."
Raven looked up for the paper and shot the others a look as they sat there, smirking. "I'm not an embarassment to you guys, am I?" She asked.
"Not at all." Beast Boy assured her, just as the phone rang. Cyborg got it, and his human eye got wide as he said;
"Just a moment." And looked at Raven in shock, as he covered the mouth of the reciver. "Um Rae? Maybe that newspaper wasn't so far off... It's the CEO of Pampers on the line, and he wants to talk to you."
Raven looked wide eyed, as she took the phone. "Hello?" She squeaked out.
"Ah, Miss Raven? I'm sure you've heard of the latest tabloid story..."
