Black And White

Well, I’ve been having some serious issues trying to get somewhere with my other stories…I’ll get inspiration eventually for them.  Hopefully.

Tonight, I was watching Teen Titans for the first time in quite a while, admiring just how hot Starfire and Raven are.  ^_^  Raven especially.  Yeah yeah yeah, I know, I’ve got all those weird little “goth” qualities…and I happen to like girls that are like her anyways.

So I happened to have this character who is a “vamlyre.”  Vamlyres are creatures kinda like vampires, but different in a number of aspects.  They have the same elongated fangs, but their bites are FAR from pleasing…and the purpose is much different.  Their bite is like having a red hot poker pressed against your neck and then twisted violently inside the skin.  The bite is served to pump extremely toxic poison into one’s veins.  If the bite is held for longer than six seconds, total paralysis occurs.  Ten seconds, and you die, guaranteed.  They are not dominant creatures like their blood sucking counterparts, rather usually submissive.  Their immense power, which is not only just physically, is valued usually for show.  In the early days of Rome, myths were held of vamlyres being captured and pitted against wave after wave of gladiators and tigers and other such things.  Vamlyres were hunted to near extinction, and most of the rest of the survivors that were put in these matches against gladiators, etc, died either in the battles they were forced into, exhaustion, starvation, maltreatment, or lack of will to continue existing.  The reason they didn’t rebel, is because for some unusual reason, probably because of her submissive nature, they serve their masters for eternity no matter what.  Amusing, considering they are perhaps the most superior of all living beings.  Extremely intelligent, very versatile, caring, friendly, and all of it matched with immense strength and power.  A vamlyre is created much like a vampire…except certain blood purity levels can resist some of the tainting, resulting in the creation of a vamlyre.  Their skin is usually pale as a vampire’s, but they can actually traverse in the sun for extended periods of time without any discomfort.  They are insomniacs by nature, generally sleeping for one hour a week at most.  They are found primarily in the service of vampires who do not wish for certain beings to exist that can easily outmatch any amounts of vampires.  So they enslave them, and the remaining vamlyres are generally extremely maltreated in many ways.  Only one has ever been freed, and that was by his own will.  That is my character, named after myself, too.  Elegy.
